Just tested the voltage under load. I used the only wire I could find which was speaker wire, so I don't know if that would effect the results. It is still much bigger than the wires you find in the atomizer or stock batteries. And the results under load, with a fully charged AW 14500 3.7V with 750 mah is: 3.0V Doesn't sound like enough to me. Chad?

Nope it is not enough, try cleaning the bottom of the over spray.

Not sure what your problem is, but my BB is performing just as good if not better then my 510 (Yeti). I tried it with both 510 atty and decided to try the BB with the 510 to cartomizer adapter. Never had used a cartomizer before and both produce great amount of vapor and throat hit. Hope you get your problem sorted out because this is truly a great device. On a side note, I even had to cut my juice back to 12mg because the throat hit was killing me on the BB. This is my first mod so maybe I'm just not used to the power yet! :p Good luck man.

I had the exact same problem on the BB I received on Friday. Switching the battery, atomizer and cart from my Protege to the BB produced much less throat hit and vapor. By Sunday the BB starting performing better to the point where there was not too much difference. I just looked inside and saw a fair amount of powder coat residue at the bottom so I scrapped it out and took some steel wool and polished it up inside. It seems to be working just fine now.

Another thing to look at. When you replace the battery spring back into the tube, make sure that it is all the way in and lying flat on the bottom. I just noticed that even with the pressure of the battery it was cocked at a slight angle at the bottom. Using tweezers to fully seat it made a huge difference.

What I did was take a power drill and put a golf tee in it instead of a drill bit. The tee I used is plastic and has small "fingers" at the end where the ball goes. I then took a ball of steel wool and put it in the tube and used the drill/tee to spin it in the tube. I'm not sure if I'm imagining it nor not but it seems to work better. Also, make sure that the spring is seated all the way down when you replace it.

Get all of it out. Powder coat stuck to the sides can get scraped by the spring when you reinsert it and wind up under the spring.

I cut a piece of green scrub pad, rolled it VERY tightly, and twisted it inside. Steel wool would probably work better but I didn't have any.

Even after that the BB didn't seem to hit very well for about a day. Now it's fine. Perhaps the switch just has to be broken in. A fresh batt that reads 4.18v at the adapter now reads 3.9v under load. :thumb:

Can't wait to get some cr2s for it!

Here's a little secret, when I do 'preorders' I do take the money a head of time. Some people like this, others do not. But when I do preorders, I ship out my remaining stock of SB/BB's first (typically I hold some back for replacements just in case). So some actually did ship today (from the SB preorder).

But what this means, is I do have a few Krinkle left that I will list when I setup the BB presale :)

Thread has gone a little off topic, but that is okay. I ended up having to send my unit back to Chad because it still was not working right. It is back today and everything is a-okay. Thanks to Chad for a quick turn around, and getting this working like it should.

Is it competing with the 510 mega or better?
I would like to know how it does for you.
