Ah! That brings me back to the batteries.
So basically, the benefit of mods like the Chuck or Silver Bullet is that they allow you to
use the bigger MAH batteries to get longer durations between charges?

That is one benefit. But even though I am running a 3.7 volt battery I get tons more vapor than I did with my dse901. i'm not a tech savvy person so I don't know why. As I said before attys I thought were weak work great on my mod. so it has not only longer power but more.

Well, I was not going to comment, but some things need to be said.

I'm not bashing, but I am pointing out the negatives, yes.
Not even, you are making specs up. If you had any credibility in this, you would use true facts.

...silkscreens or paint. You have been corrected on this many times before, but maybe your diamond skull is too thick. I know why you do it, you just want to find something to jab at the chuck, but you cannot, so you make up false statements. This kills your credibility.

Big, heavy tube with 5 cent switch. 5 cent switch? lol, I'm sure Jeff wishes. The switch may look cheap, but it actually has gold plated contacts in it. I'd like to know what other mod has that...

...On the long list of PV's available, the Chuck is on the absolute bottom for me personally. And this is just because Jeff dismissed your crazy request. All of your rants on the Chuck are attempted payback. This discredits you even more. All you are out for is revenge, and it paints you in a very ugly color.

Silver Bullet (one of the very best, and perfect for all-around vaping because it runs at 3.7 and 6v) Gee the Chucks do these too, SB is nothing special when it comes to voltages...So the Chuck is perfect for all around vaping too, at least we agree on something!

and we know you're the rudest of all Chuck supporters...
And you are the rudest of all the others. Funny that the only reason people put up with you is that you have a really nice camera, and pawn pics on suppliers for product and accolades. Other than that, most think very low of you, even the non chuck supporters. Now that is saying something...

When they were starting to get popular, I wanted one too (before I owned what I do now), and requested a custom variation with no price limit attached. LOL and this is why you are seeking revenge. Enough with the false attacks. Your credibility is out the window already.

...but the switch thing killed me. It looks cheap, feels cheap, and is absolutely cheap. Feels cheap? Have you used one? Is cheap? How so? Again, you are just saying so, but with no credibility, why should anyone believe you, since you don't own one?

You are so against the chuck time and time again. Why do you feel the need to bash it every chance you get? Why are you so threatened by it? And you cannot say that you are not threatened by it, since you spend so much time ranting on it. No one spends so much effort if it does not matter.Yes I know you are just angry at Jeff for not bending to your requests, but let it go already.

I believe the higher current (amps) get the attys to work at full capacity, even beyond what is possible with a freshly charged standard (901,510,801, etc) battery, and of course to do so more consistently as you stated.

Dammit... no edit option??
... snip ....

As soon as you have 15 posts you will be able to edit your own posts and start threads in other sections of the forum, a minor inconvenience to avoid spam.

As a new person here I appreciate the original posters question and have found this thread extremely enlightening, aside from the personal attacks and one poster doing nothing but that.

While some of the Chuck owners want to bash Bandit... after two weeks of alot of reading and investigation... I have exactly the same feelings as him. Bash all you want but his information is very helpful.

Upon first seeing the Chuck all I could think of was how horrible the button looked, how it protrudes and the price tag of $80 was high compared with the others. It also is not nearly as cosmetically appealing as the others. Those are really the facts, whether chuck owners agree or not.

Now, upon reading this thread and seeing how nasty owners of the Chuck are... I am definitely turned off by any thought of the Chuck. Really, most of you have just accomplished the exact opposite of what you wanted to do. Bad publicity.

I appreciate the links in this thread and the mention of a couple battery mods I had not heard of yet.

Yea, but the only thing displeasing about the Chuck is the button. The artwork looks
top-notch, and I've yet to see another company offering this. It's going to be tough
to choose my first device, that's for damn sure.

As for the bashing... I wish there was a way to ignore specific users so you don't even
have to see their posts in your thread.

I just ordered my first Chuck, plan on running it at 3.7 volts with a 510 atty because I already have 510s I really like the throat hit and vapor I get from my titan 510.

I don't know yet how it will perform so I can't comment on performance. What I can say is after reading a lot of threads and watching reviews of all kinds of mods I noticed more complaints and problems with some of the others.

I really liked the idea of choosing my artwork for my Chuck and after reading 500 + pages of good things about the Chuck decided that the builder Jeff would take care of any problems I might have down the road. He was super nice to deal with, and has handled my purchase perfectly.

I wasn't concerned with price I was concerned with customer service and if he would stand behind his product after the sale. I do like the look of some of the other mods and will probably get another down the line. But for my first the choice of artwork, choice of to different volts and his customer service reputation was my deciding factor.

Good luck and let us know what you choose and how you like it when you get it.

Cheers,
Iambuza

There is a way to ignore users. If you go to their profile, you'll see a pull-down called "User Lists". In there is an option to ignore the user. If you do so, you won't see any posts they make anywhere in the forums.

Welcome to the forums, by the way. Sorry I didn't welcome you earlier. I hope you find the information that you're looking for.

Well i'll asume this is directed towards me ?And actually i could careless. But your point is senseless. Let me ask you this as a parody. If you had a rude nieghbor that drove a car he bought for 80$ and it got 100miles to the gallon and never broke down. Would you in turn never consider buying a car like that?:evil:

Man, I love the ignore function; rudeness will not be tolerated.
Thanks, folks.

Yeah, but don't get too excited. So long as whoever you are ignoring is being quoted by someone you aren't ignoring, you will see the comments.

I sort of hate to bring this up, McCord... choosing a mod is tough enough (or just plain fun depending on how one views/collects things) but you haven't really chosen an atomizer yet, have you?

I wish there were more mods standardized with something like the Power Vaper Modular Array so that one could test how several mods work with different attys. On set of adapters to bind them all :)

Nope. As a matter of fact, that's what I'm researching the hardest. I'm trying
to figure out if there's some logic to the numbering system. The lowest
number, 501, seems to be the agreed upon Most Vapor, Hardest Throat Hit.
The issue with ALL of them is the burning out or flooding issues. I'm thinking
there's got to be a more durable brand out there, or a way to make a better
one.

First off,
as a computer geek I'm well-aware of how arguements over preference play out (Linux
vs Windows discussions are nothing but bash fests), so I'm paying zero attention to those posts. And Denniswking, feel free to stay the hell out of my thread. I didn't come here to babysit. To anyone giving their opinion of a product, please stick to experience.
Comments like, "I've never had one but they suck" are absolutely worthless.

One more thing... careful with the acronyms, folks. I'm still learning so don't assume I
know what they stand for... like something has AFS (?). It's greek at this point.

So back on topic.
Thanks everyone for the opinions and reviews. I've been reading like crazy to try and
get a grasp on everything, and watching Youtube reviews, etc. LOTs of information. I'm
one of those people that don't make impulse buys, I go over everything. :)

I'm still stuck in the debating portion of my thought process. I'm reading/watching some
pretty awesome reviews. I understand that "mods" like the Chuck and Silver Bullet are
just that... but at the same time, I would hope that they'd have more dependability
than something "off the shelf" if you know what I mean. Of all the parts, the battery
section is the one that's supposed to last, right? The only failing would be the switch
and maybe threads. The Chuck certainly looks like a plastic switch, so it's an obvious
concern, while the rest of it appears pretty freakin' sturdy.

OH, and I was mis-typing on the button thing. It's the Silver Bullet that has the button
I like, not the Protege. Bah. In case you can't tell, looks matter to me. I've read posts
where people talk about how you'll get over the look and size, blah blah. NOT ME. My
personal computer is custom built and shiny. I love it. My monitor is a Dell 2407 and
looks kick .... So yea, if something looks "cheap" I'll never spend money on it. That's
just me. :)
I'm with you all the way on this one that is why I am holding out and waiting patiently for the BB it is in my signature and she is hot looking.Same Co. as SB I believe:thumb:
