It seems that an atomizer lasts a very short time with this lately. Typically maybe a day, though I just went through 2 in less than an hour. Now, I had gotten the new, mechanical switch from PS, and am using that. I'd requested the resistored version when I purchased it. How can I tell if that is the one that I got? I'm assuming the 'ring' on the switch post is made of a resistive material if I have the resistored version? The reason I ask is I'm wondering if I'm actually using 6v instead of 5, and maybe that's why the atty's lately are going dead so quickly.

It doesn't seem to matter what type of atty I use either, 801, 901, or 510.

you can see the resistor if it has one..

on the new mechanical switch as well? I have one of the old style switches and can easily see the resistor there. When I got my new mechanical style switch, there was no resistor visible, but I thought maybe the ring used to make the connection on the switch was made of a resistant material.

no, you can't see it on the mechanical switches. I don't have the V1 switch, but the v2 and Protege, V1 should be the same.

Resistor ring = Silver to dull grayish brown
..
Non resistor ring = copper

I have the new 3.7/6 switch for my V1, NO RESISTOR VISIBLE.

I do not use it at 6 volts, only 3.7, but my understanding is I have that option.

To be honest..................... I have V1 V2 and the Protege. V1 works the best and Vapor production is the best

They all work fine, I just think the V1 is the best of all 3. :D

Ditto.... I use my V1 more than any other machine.

My V2 pumps out the vape but the attys get so hot it's like arc welding nekkid... I've cooked off two due to user error. Not a big deal but the *Heat*

The Protege... I love the size but the vape isn't as consistent as the V1.
