Well, I've made up my mind. Here I come puresmoker.

Does one 17670 battery fit the whole housing or do I need two?
Sorry for asking so many questions, still learning.

Good choice! I am sure you will be happy!

I have not gone the 3.7 volt option with the 17670 battery yet just because I really like the higher voltage and i have other 3.7 devices, but you are correct. All you need is (1) 17670 AW battery. I have found them other places but they are the same price PureSmoker has them for.
The 17670 battery is 1 long battery, fills the whole tube.

Did you YouTube GrimmGreen's PRODIGY V3 videos yet?? I love that guy, he does great reviews.

Haha, yeah I did. One of the first grimmgreen review's I watched had the fish eye lens. I thought to myself, WTH, I don't want to watch a review through that... Then I started watching his later ones and I was impressed. Great reviews.

I just hope that mine won't have that rattle...

To be honest there is a very slight rattle of the batteries with the soft (and I mean soft!) stock spring. 2 things you can do here to fix. Add the hard spring (i did this and it solves the issue but its too stiff for me after a few hours), or slightly stretch your stock soft spring into the more "medium" spring. I ended up with the stretch. I didn't go all out like some people here have but enough where it doesn't fire on its end and you really have to shake it to get it to rattle.

I am really picky and I am happy with this result. Next time I am up at Home Depot I am going to grab that medium spring everyone is talking about just to try and review.

Just to add my $0.02 here... I got my V3 the day they came out and have basically put all my other devices into the drawer as back-up devices now. The only adjustment I have made is I stretched the light spring out to about 1.5" and since then have had no rattle and no issues standing the V3 on end while unlocked. I also picked up a couple of 17670s to use with the LR attys that I still have and they work like a dream. I put one in on Friday morning and it lasted me until Sunday evening with moderate vaping throughout the days and nights. (I keep odd hours due to medical issues.) But yeah, the 17670 in a V3 with a LR atty is a workhorse that just won't quit. At 6v with the 2 Tenergy LiFePo4 batts I can usually go about a full day without changing the batts out.

All in all, I would recommend that anyone with the means to get a V3 do so, you would really have to work to find a reason to be disappointed with it.

Damm it man ... I cant wait wish PureSmoker was next door to me ... I would just pick it up...

I cant wait to get the Prodigy V3 in my hands

I feel you man, I just want to buy the V3 right now because I keep having all these second thoughts about it... With the current circumstances it just doesn't seem like the time to buy...

College student that just put all his money into stocks, summer school, books and the occasional pack of golf balls :D leaves me with literally :2c:... :(

Man, I JUST WANT IT

lols don' worry bro, it'll get there quick, got to my hands in 2 days after i ordered it, you will be in love from the moment you get it. FYI pick up some noalox, i foolishly removed all of the original noalox while cleaning the bottom switch. add some noalox to your repertoire and to keep that switch fluid like butter! I'm seriously thinking of ordering another prodigy v3 just cuz I love it so much and I want a backup, but I should diversify and get a BB or SB.

I was thinking about the GGTS before I saw the Prodigy V3... I dont think I'm going to buy another mod unless something crazy and innovative comes out... The Prodigy is just as pretty as the GGTS but alot more affordable... I'm barely in week one in vaping and couldnt imagine spending $172 + for a mod... I just bought the Prodigy and the GG AFS and bunch of juices, batteries , etc.. etc... I've already spent a small fortune. I think with the Prodigy V3 mated to GG AFS, I should be good on mods for awhile...

To be honest the GGTS was too big for my taste (sort of why i'm staying away from the SB), as well as that price tag. I personally couldn't even justify the $107 AFS since i find cartomizer usage sufficient. The prodigy has really become my Go-To device and I don't see it stepping down in the near future. Unless they come out with something that utilizes smaller batteries with similar performance, I don't see myself buying another device, aside from a BB or some other reliable side switch device (I have a terrible buying problem when it comes to this sort of thing). I'm still looking at the BB, or maybe even the prodigy v2 since its on clearance right now, maybe both!? Regardless even if I purchase one of those I am pretty sure they won't get heavy use, the prodigy v3 is too much of a delight to put down!

They already have a device using the same switch design that is built to run on the 14500 size battery called the iCon. It is up for pre-order on the PS website with expected release in 4-6 weeks iirc. From what I have heard they are putting the prototypes through some pre-production testing and finalizing the design that will go on it. AFAIK the iCon will only hold 14500 size batts and was designed around the IMR14500/High Drain batts which do not require a protection circuit due to the chemistry they use.

This is all off the top of my head, and my memory has been known to have the solidity of a block of swiss cheese most of the time. But I am sure that someone will correct me if I am wrong on anything or add anything I forgot.

Hey where did you guys get your 17670 AW batteries? I see PS has them for $10, but I was hoping to find them and a charger a bit cheaper elsewhere.

Also, anyone found a decent "pocket" sized case for their V3 yet?? I bought a Caselogic camera case from walmart last week that fit the V3 without an atomizer connected, decently, but it fit my camera better so ended up using it for the camera. All and all it still wasn't perfect for the V3 so my hunt is still on. Please let me know if you find a good one.

The Icon looks great and will probably be a delight to use, but its a 3.7v device which is no longer sufficient for me. My minimum is probably 6v right now since my 5v passthrough really doesn't do it for me anymore. Keep in mind that I use cartomizers and will not go back to traditional atomizers, including LR atties. For me personally, the market is going to be at a stalemate until companies find another way to achieve 6v in a smaller package, perhaps some devices built around the Protected Cr2s, or possibly the release of lifepo4 cr2s that have a higher mah rating than 200. Either the cr2 must be improved or they will have to release a new battery type into the e cig world

Sorry, guess I misunderstood what you were saying Yoyoma_mda, You mentioned the BB and I thought that meant you were looking for a 3.7v as a smaller device. I have a BB and for some reason have never been able to get it to work at 6v with CR2 batts, it is probably just a case of me not doing something right, or that the gods didn't were screwing with me or something. I tested the batts, all four charged, used a 14500, BB worked fine, but the CR2s (in any combination of the four I had) + the BB just wouldn't cooperate. As far as other ways of getting a device built to use a 14500 to run at 6v, I have seen 14250 sized batts, but they seem to be less common and the ones I have seen had very low mAh ratings. Just something ya might wanna keep an eye on to see if they get better so you can use a smaller device at 6v.

yoyo - I feel the exact same way. I will take a puff or 2 off my wife's ego from time to time and man..... its just sad compared to my V3 with V4L cartomizers @ 6V. Just sad...... But I have a V3 on the way for her! Hey heres to 3 new devices in the last month !!

Cheers on your devices numonic! I'm looking at getting my second this month (The BB), and your wife is a lucky woman getting showered with all these mods :D

Hmm, you have a 901/kr threaded prodigy? I've really wanted to try "low resistance" cartomizers at 6v... my 510 cartos are great but i'm very curious of the performance enhancement that they'll deliver. In regards to 510, cartos, have you heard of any LR 510 cartos? I heard the Turbo cartos are just larger and may possibly have a higher resistance. Any idea?

Guys, this may be a stupid question, but I've been using a VaporKing with cartos and now that I've put some distance between myself and analogues, I've been considering a more powerful, less-cig-looking device. This one looks pretty cool. My question is, does this thing take cartomizers? Everyone's talking about atomizers so I get the idea that you have to do the atomizer/cart thing...is this not the case? Not sure what a drip tip is, either..do I have to buy a mod of some kind or an adapter with it?

I'm still pretty new at this..any help appreciated. Don't want to buy it if it won't work with my carts and eliquid.

I saw a video on VapersFourm of some low resistance cartomizers, but for the life of me i cant remember who it was or if they were 510 or KR808s. I do remember that the coil in the lower resistance ran sideways instead of vertically.

Ya, I got my wife the Vapor4Life (KR808) cartomizers for her EGO (with adapter) and liked them so much that when I ordered my V3 i ordered with the 901/KR808 connection. Very happy I did now. IMO "Good" cartomizers really shine at 6V! I have read from others that they really like the 901 atty at 6Vs, but mine for some reason dont compare to a good cartomizer.

So if I order it, the base kit, I have to get the KR808 adapter and it will work with all my cartomizers? I kinda wanted the pen one that would be cool, but I suppose not work?
