Specific questions on attomizers for prodigy V3

Hi all,

I have been vaping for a long time and had not the need to buy new stuff for some months now. Wow !, so many new options it is very confusing.

I have a Prodigy V1 and have been happy with it.

I use
- penstyle att.
- 2 Tenergy 3.0V RCR123A
- In general Totally Wicked French Pipe 18mg juice
- I drip.

I am about to buy a prodigy V3 and plan to continue to use 2 Tenergy (they are great) and Totally Wicked juice.

But I see so many options now for attomizers: From Puresmoker:

- DSE801 PenStyle (Low, Standard, High resistance).
- DSE901 (Low, Standard, High resistance).
- Joye510 ((Low, Standard, High resistance).
- PEN BE112 (only one model, no resistance choice).
- Joye 306 (Standard and Low resistance).

My questions are :

1.- Given that I am going to use : 2 Tenergy 3.0V RCR123A on the prodigy V3, should I prefer Low/Standard/High resistance attomizers ?, or the resistance has nothing to do with the energy source ?.

2.- Any of you that have tested some of these attomizers could you elaborate on which do you prefer and why. I really would like to hear from those of you that have actually tested them with Prodigy V3 and the Tenergy Batteries.

3.- Have any of you tested (and Liked) the Prodigy V3 with other attomizers and could you tell why you liked and perhaps provide a link to the vendor from which you bought ?.

I live in Chile so I cannot do a lot of trial and error.

Many Thanks for your answers,
Jorge.

jorge, if you can get the v3 in chile...go for it!

if you are a penstyle atomizer user, then get the 801 adapter and look into getting BE112 atomizers in low resistance, standard resistance, high resistance and possibly even very high resistance. ps doesn't sell these, but you can get them directly from the manufacturer. regardless, you'll want to get rid of your tenergy lifepo4 batteries. i understand that you like them, but there are much better batteries available, whether you are using the standard penstyle atomizer at 3 Ohms or a higher resistance atomizer at 4.5 or even 5.2 Ohms (only if you are going to stack AW IMR 3.7V batteries), you will be drawing too much amperage for the tenergy batteries to effectively handle. their lifespan will shorten, and the ir performance will decrease. so look into getting aw lifepo4 batteries from somewhere as well as the aw 17670 batteries that PS sells. the 17670 battery will allow you to vape at 3.7V and you'll enjoy this with a low resistance BE112 atomizer. many other brand 17670 batteries won't fit inside the v3, plus only the AW has the drain rate qualified to handle the low resistance atomizers. hope this helps you.

I'm waiting on my new cartos and HV atty to show up, but so far, I've found that the V3 seems really picky about what you connect to it at 6V.

The SLB cartos I used torched each time. The Boge cartos seemed a bit better. Both seemed to produce vapor that nearly burned my mouth, so I'd consider using a drip tip with them, even if you're not planning on dripping -- just to get a little more distance between your mouth and the atty.

Similarly, the Joye 510 atty that came with my eGo was melting carts, while a Titan 510 was performing really well. I'm waiting on my 3.7V charger to show up, so I haven't tested the V3 at that voltage yet, but my inclination would be to use LR attys and cartos at 3.7V.

I'm not so sure about dumping the Tenergy batteries, as buGG suggests. Everything I've read about them (specific to the 3.0V 750 mAh model) has been positive. And so far (knock on wood) mine seem to last quite a while. Again, though, I haven't used them with any HV or LR gear, so YMMV.

Quick question : does PureSmoker sell the 510 Cartomizers, I look and look but only see attomizers, if PS does not sell them, do you have a good store were you buy them ?.
Since PS doesn't sell them, I'm guessing this is okay...

Try LiteCig USA. Their prices are very good, and shipping's free if you spend $15 or more.

I'd go with the Boge cartos instead of the SLB's, based on my post above. But for what they cost, you might as well pick up a pack of each, and it'll put you over $15. :)
