Hey, Eric - I totally forgot to check ECF for your forum ;-)
I'm trying to make Eric and DV my go-to site for clearo and tanks. I'm one of those guys that prefers simple, rebuildable, KISS.
The "Vivi Tank" is the rebuildable one. It worked, but tasted awful. Modding it to SS mesh and a coil, plugging the standpipe - that worked for me. It's sitting on the sofa next to me as I suck on my variant of a Puck and the E1-ReVive V2. I just lent out my 3,7v Mosfet boxmod (14500) with a CE6 from Eric to my Chef, today. (Ordering more of these box-mods at least for gifts - cheaper and simpler than the stupid eGo's I have sitting here - also "stealthy": no lights at all and shorter than the eGo battery itself)
The Vivi Nova is.. Well, I like the threading and such, but the short wicks are awful and I *can* rewick it, but it's a chore.
The 6ml Apollo is on my eGo 18650 "mod" and what I am taking to work all week. It too will be rewicked and wired, I hope. (I get an odd metallic flavor)
I keep trying to find parts & pieces in order to mod tanks and clearomizers, and building up mods of my own - no more factory devices for me!
Here's a 'thingie': the goofy little things like those silicon insulators used in 510-connectors, tank/clearo connectors - they love to shred once handled. Another interesting gizmo was/is the "Acorn Tank" from PV - right I ain't posting a link and idiot ECF things even the thumbnails are too large to copy *sigh*
Looked "Ruggedized", and between bopping around choring and at-work in a pocket, "Ruggedizing" is what my stuff needs.
If I could find bases/caps - even standpipes? - that would fit 30cc syringes - or larger - I'd try building up my own tanks and genesis.
Eric: looking at your Phoenix RA clone.. How much liquid will it hold? It it contains as much as a Vision Version 2 or Thor, I'll get a couple: I like tanks for relaxing and minimal baggage, and the clearo's are for pocketing and running around with.
If anyone has seen a gooseneck-lamp type of 510 adapter, or even a rotatable 90-degree adapter or connector, I'd be interested: I want to build a mod that *really* works in a pocket w/o snapping things off!
Eric: you have a decent site - keep it up.. What was that other Kanger someone asked about, btw?
