Mine is very similar to the one you have shown. A little more open on one side, and as Lord stated most likely a function of the mold.

Unlike kalebk07, most of the time when I remove an eGo style device the adapter comes out with it. I then gently use pliers to remove the adapter from the device so that I do not burr the 510 threads on the adapter. I very seldom remove the CE5+ that is on the V8, as that combination has become my device of choice.

Eric, thanks for pinging them on the need for a change in the voltage selection, even if they are playing the "me no understand" cards. I guess that's why I learned to speak Japanese during the 8 years I lived in Okinawa so that language could not be used as an excuse. Amazing how there is never a language barrier when they are requesting payment. LOL

Have a good rest, and a great weekend.

Mine has holes too but I'm not convinced that was intentional. It looks quite messy don't you think?

My guess...

They had many people who came in and applied for the job as engineer
100 of them had engineering degrees and wanted a 100k salary plus benefits
One of them said he worked with tinker toys as a kid and would work for pop tarts.

Guess who they chose.

Honestly it looks like someone who had zero experience in CAD.
Thankfully it looks like that person wasn't in charge of the electronics.

More along the lines of the Tool and Die dept(the ones that make the molds for the plastic parts) are working for pop tarts. I have filed and sanded every molding line on this thing to make edges smooth and mismatch go away. It wouldn't take a lot of work to clean up their die molds. But then again it is only a $30 device that rocks vapor like nothing else. It boils down to it is what it is and the price point can't be beat.

LordDavon Presents: Innokin iTaste V2 Review

Great review as always, except I think you got a little hung up on the base and it's stability standing. I don't think that little bit of taper would make much difference if it wasn't there. It's stability no different than an eGo battery, maybe even a bit more stable than an eGo standing on it's end as the iTaste base footprint being square is larger than an eGo. Also you made a point about the battery length being longer than an eGo 1000...the joyetech eGo1000mah PT battery I have is a 1/4 longer than the iTaste battery without the cartridge adapter. so they are about the same size and with the electronics it has I am suprised it isn't longer.

The Tidy 10 clearos it comes with are pre-filled with an avg cig tobacco flavor, they do empty and clean out very easily. Very similar to the CE3 design but taste better. A quick fill with some PB Cup and I am putting it thru its paces. It came almost fully charged and was done with it's initial charge in less than an hour. The suggested voltage range it gives are inline with the ohms of different clearos I have put on it. So far so good, It's no V8 of course, more updates to come as I've only been using it a couple of hours:)

Actually, I compared it to the eGo C Twist 1000mah. Not sure where the PT compares to the twist. But, I also compared it with the eGo adapter -- which I thought I mentioned, but will need to go back and check, and if not, I will annotate.

As for the taper, it does make it more top heavy. I believe that it would have given it more stability than the eGo C Twist, but the iTaste has less.

The kit I got, didn't come with pre-filled tide10's. They were all empty. I could get them to work okay, but no where near the performance of the CE3 XL. I will need to get with you, and see why yours are working so well. Maybe there is something I can do to get them working better before the "follow up" video.

I am going to be doing a video on low cost VV mods. The iTaste is going to be part of it. As will the eGo C Twists, V8, VV 350, and a few others. :)

It looks like you're using a kit that has the Atomizer/Tank cartridge, probably the main difference.

I pulled the bung out emptied it gave it a hot water washout, shook it and blew out the drawtube, put the bung back in and filled with syringe upside down just like the CE3 and started vaping in less than 5 min the first hit tasted faintly of the original juice but after that it was all PB Cup. I vaped that one dry and refilled it. I started a second one emptying out another cig flavored tidy 10 and filled that one with Lemonade, it is about 3/4 empty now.

My kit came with the tidy10 and 510 adapter. The tank was pulled from a different kit. ;) The 808 adapter was an addon.

Each vendor can select from different kits. Mine wasn't from Eric though. I should have got it from him, since I send a lot of people here.

A little over 6 hours of almost non stop chain vaping and about 2.3ml of juice before the iTaste started blinking the LoBat blink. LD I agree with you on the cable I am using a usb cable from a RC helicopter for a backup. I see myself destroying the retractable without trying. Under normal usage I could expect getting 8-10 hours out of it. It works just as well using it as a PT

None of my RC Helicopters use that cable. Luckily, I had the Elips Mix cable.

Well got some E1 yesterday and like the Stardust they just don't wick for me. Probably due to the 100%VG I make. The juice works great with the E2 XL's or Phoenix which is what I guess I will stay with. Anybody else had problems with these not wicking? I did a very minor mod cutting a small slot on either side of the silicone cap to free up the wick where it entere the tube and it helped a little but still far short of the E2's. Any ideas on how I can get these to work?
