Since someone mentioned Toothpaste I thought I would pull some REAL numbers from the OFFICIAL Annual Poison Control reports. Unfortunately the 2013 reports have not yet been published but from the 2012 numbers:

Toothpaste with Fluoride:
Total Exposures: 20,306
Exposures involving Children age 5 and under: 17,456

We must seek to ban toothpaste immediately...for the children!

EDIT: for those interested, here is the official report for 2012:

I find it very funny how easy it is to heard the sheeple one way or the other. As far as the sheeple being brainwashed they would have to have a brain for that to happen. They believe what they hear on the news, and think that they are well informed. The real shame is that they are allowed to vote.

Imagine how the powers that be feel about the stupid brainwashed sheeple,if we,the smarter ones feel about the idiots.Dont get me wrong,i try to help those i can,but trying to help sheeple is like banging your poor head against a brick wall. The problem is too many fools TRUST the govt.

Consider this for a moment, here in Texas we have had 758 deaths caused by car accidents on public roads. That's approximately 7.5 deaths each day. No one is trying to do anything to reduce that statistic. But if a child drinks some ejuice to vomits, oh my God! How many deaths have occurred because of improper ejuice consumption? None that I have heard of. Just some food for thought.

I agree that the "OMG vaping is killing our children" stuff is nonsense.

But Claiming that nobody is trying to reduce automobile accidents is silly. Those 758 deaths in Texas you quoted? The only reason you know that number is because they have it on highway signs all over the place. Trying to warn people about the danger is one of the things they are doing to try and lower the number of accidents. They've been doing it a long time, and they will continue.

You're absolutely right that the nicotine risk is vastly overrated. But when you argue "nobody cares about auto accidents, nobody is trying to reduce the risk there", you aren't going to convince anyone because your basic argument is flawed.

I agree. Between all of the "Click it or Ticket" signs, the traffic fatality signs, and the anti-texting commercials, they are trying.

This day and age it dont matter where you are from,we all pay taxes and in my opinion.we all are in the ''new world order'' right now anyway.Thw whole planet is controlled by greedy psychopaths.
I hate to say it, but this is really true.

And for the first 45 years of my life I didn't have any clue about any of this.
But over the last four years my eyes have been opened, and now I can clearly see it all around me.

I guess you CAN teach an old dog new tricks.
But this is one trick I might wish I had not learned.

Being blissfully ignorant was, well, quite blissful.
