wow holy crap just looking at their homepage one can tell how evil they are, just look at the links on it.

did you ever want to know how to sue a tobacco company?
just anybody can click and see how to do it

what about using smoking against a spouse in a courtroom child custody case?
yeah they teach you how to do that

wow these people a plague
and they claimed that e cig sites bullied newstations that said e cigs were safe. well of course we cig users are all violent terrorists. its not like we teach people win a divorce case by bringing up smoking against your spouse.

Why do people see vape and always asume its bad like smoke. its like people are preprogrammed to believe anything that looks like smoke is bad. I have people ask about my pv and when I explain it they say well you should still give that up. Are they blind, its enjoyable and no harm to other people why would I want to give it up. Why do people hear the truth and still dont get it

I went to their site on my phone on the way home from work today so couldn't browse the whole site (too slow) but thought this was interesting:
"A.S.H. provides nonsmokers with legal forms and valuable information to help them protect their rights, and to learn more about the problems and costs of smoking to nonsmokers. "
Since I started using the e-cig I am now a "non-smoker". Shouldn't they be protecting my rights?

Here is the part that i love the most.
In most cases when people request information, it is already available on ASH's very large award-winning web site.

Have they even looked at there site?

Seriously, it makes me depressed even thinking about the web designer who came up with that site. IT'S JUST FRIGGEN TABLES. you NEVER you tables unless your displaying data. Otherwhise, you always use divs. every half @$$ed web developer knows this.

Besides the point that they say they are a non-profit organization that provides information and is run by your "contributions", leaving out the fact that the information is only available if you "contribute".

The simple fact remains that someone found a way to make money while takign advantage of the relatively stupid public.

Just one more organization to fuel the stupidity known as "group think".

Yes ASH only exists because someone figured out how to make money out of all of the gullible people who's only 'real' hatred of smoking was that they couldn't stand the smell. The majority of people couldn't really care less if anyone wanted to kill themselves with smoking, most people knew the second hand smoke didn't really do them much harm and the majority of people also know that saying smokers cost the health service too much money is a load of nonsense because 'everyone' dies eventually of some illness or other. It's a 'one off' cost that we all incur anyway and the fact is that people dying early because they smoke actually saves the country a fortune in pensions and extended healthcare.

The only good thing is that the likes of ASH will find it very hard to get the supporters against vaping because it doesn't 'smell' so they won't be so willing to believe the lies.

They also helped someone sue their neighbor to try to keep them from smoking in their own home. Since when can someone tell you you can't do something totally legal in your own home and think that it's reasonable. ASH is both Bat**** Crazy and Evil. They truly enjoy making people miserable and I don't think it has anything to do with health issues, I think it has to do with control issues.

I still have to just sit back and stare in wonder at some of the things I hear about ASH. I find myself thinking "How can people not see how nuts these guys are?". It totally blows my mind that people actually listen to these nutjobs.

They remind me a lot of PETA. Now, don't get me wrong, I love animals. (Especially dogs). The wife and I are small-time breeders of Irish Wolfhounds and Italian Greyhounds. We have a litter or two a year, and our dogs live in the house with us, because we love them. No puppy mill here. So I'm all for standing against animal cruelty, dogfighting, stuff like that. But PETA takes the fight to a whole new level of crazy. It's one thing to stand up for animals, it's another to elevate their well being above humans.

That's what freaks me out about ASH. It's like they'll fight so hard to ban something potentially bad for people... but they'll do it at the expense of people's lives. True, e-cigs aren't the healthiest thing in the world, but they're a buttload healthier than cancer sticks. Why would ASH fight so hard to ban e-cigs, when it would just drive people back to cigarettes, which are an order of magnitude worse? I just can't wrap my head around it.

Do not think this is a Joke! Right now I am sitting on my condo board, as I listen to owners that want us the board members to make rules that prevent people from smoking in their own condos. You heard me right. Not only in there own condos but out side on their balconies as well. The problem several of the board members would have no problem doing this.8-o
They think that they can do it, they keep siting laws from CA. Our association can't afford to paint the hall and replant a dead tree but they want to rewrite state laws taking way peoples property rights! :nah:
When it comes to the anti-smoking crowd you can not put anything past them.

Yes, ASH and their leader Banzhaf are obviously lunatics, and anyone who digs just a little under the surface will clearly see that like we have. The problem is how insidious they are. Even if the public becomes well aware that ASH is not a credible source, they will still buy everything ASH sells in one form or another.

Banzhaf has been writing (or simply signing) many letters, claiming support from the FDA, against e-cigs. These letters have been sent to Paypal/Ebay, news organizations, local government officials like AG's, even judges like the Honorable Judge Leon. Then the recipient, for example Paypal, turns around and fights e-cigs in an effort to comply with both the FDA and ASH.

However, most of the public doesn't see this chain of events we see. All the public sees is the fact that the FDA, ASH, Ebay/Paypal, news organizations and local AG's are ALL cautioning against exposure to these products. They don't see that it all traces back to ASH, all they see is many different groups of people warning the people of a potentially dangerous product, and, of course, if many different people say the same thing then it is more likely to be true.

Like i said, ASH is insidious

Absolutely mtndude. Unity is key here, there's no point in blaming this on Left/Right political divide - what's needed is reasoned argument, repetitively made in all available outlets.

If someone can get the issue on a talk show, great. But that's not enough. People need to write to all media outlets with their experiences and the real story.
