Proposed e-cigarette ban in the city of kennesaw ga

Found out today that the city of Kennesaw Ga has a proposed ban on the use of E-cig in all public locations in the city limits.
All Georgia vapers get out and let Kennesaw how you feel about this. Next City Council meeting Mon October 9th @6:30 pm.
Council member Cris welsh is the founder of the ordinance please address her by e-mail @ cwelsh@kennesaw-ga.gov. She can also be reached by phone @ 678-266-0885. We are under attack again time to be heard.!

Seen this on the news last night.

An odd pitch from a city that's typically been very conservative regarding individual rights (mandatory gun law anyone?). I guess that only applies to the rights they like.

I would wish that Dr. Welsh and every person that supports such an invasion of individual rights be run out of office at the earliest.

Or maybe they're trying to be like NYC. After they get those filthy smokers and vapers in check, they'll go after fat people next.

I'll venture a guess that Dr. Welsh has never seen an electronic cigarette first hand, nor had an opportunity to experience the total absence of foul emissions from one, before sticking her crooked government beak out there to lump it in with tobacco smoking.

I heard the same thing on the radio while in Kennesaw yesterday. They want to ban Cigarette, Cigar, Pipe and E-cig use anywhere but your home. I suppose you can chew tobacco and spit all over their town but not use a non-tobacco product. I've always liked Kennesaw...I live about 30 minutes away. This just pisses me off, though. I'm not a big public vaper and it probably won't really make my life any different...if I want a vape, I vape...wherever I am. I'm just hate e-cigs being lumped in with burning tobacco.

I'm not hearing any whining, really. I suppose I should have pointed out that I did send an email last night when I heard the story and left a voice mail to her office today. That way, you'd have known. My bad.

I'm not saying you. I was referencing the fear threads I see. Ecigs vaping will get banned, those IMO those seemingly defeatists threads.
I do offer my most sincere apology if you took any offense. Actually not trying to offend anyone. It's like when we especially those of us 50 and up. If someone hits u, hit em back. Same principle just diff methods. We can't just stand and cry and do nothing.
It just irks me when I perceive that.

Has anyone asked for a legal definition of an ECig ?
I was just pondering this and thought it may be difficult to provide such a thing without including other devices/products .
The deliberations of such a definition may cause a considerable delay in laws being passed .

I'm really close to 50 and up! 3 yrs off...I agree with you and no offense taken. I don't like the defeatist threads either and I always have time to shoot an email to those trying to make life more difficult for those of us trying to "keep it simple". I didn't word my post very carefully ....adjusting nic level and brewing more coffee. That should help!
