Let me ask you this, when did customers manifested for a product that is unknown?
If all smokers would know the benifits of e-cigs, wouldn't there be more business going on?

This is a business matter.

Vendors have money and power:

Let me ask you this. What do you mean by "When did customers manifested for a product that is unknown?"?

Business is "going on". Business is thriving as far as vendors and customers are concerned.

The issue is not "business" rather, but marketing. Billion dollar industries that have fought with consumers, government policy, health officials, courts, advocates, and bought over lobbyists, have the 'power' over this particular market.

Vendors have neither money, nor power. The educators and marketers have the power. An uneducated market will continue to buy cancer sticks over cheaper and healthier alternatives until they die of lung cancer simply because they are uneducated. They have no alternatives, and they are addicted to a chemical that has shown to be harder to quit than ...... in some studies.

The tune of, that the majority of the population that has heard of e-cigarette alternatives, is a pathetically sour one. Look into any mainstream media coverage of ecigs and you'll find the majority of them skeptic, and ladled with misinformation.

Here in this city in Quebec, there is no TV add on e-cigs. I am a door-to-door salesman, I talk with smokers everyday and e-cigs aren't known here yet. And for the few who had seen the add, it is mysterious, they still don't know what it is because it is not easily avalaible unless you know about it and have access to internet. When I take out my pv in front of smokers, they ask me:

- "Wow, where did you get that? at the pharmacy?"

- "no. There is an actual ban from hc on e-cigs. You have to order it from the net. Here is a business card of my supplier."

Vendors do have money to take care of their own interests. They can get organized to associate to win it's case and reverse the ban.

When I am thinking that you can get a pv in a corner store in UK, I am wondering if this scenario be possible here in Canada ? No. An educator is required for tanks, VV, dripping and even pre-filled. Also nic strenght liquid need to be discussed based on weight and smoking habit...
