Hey guys,

Fairly new here and also to vaping. Have been vaping for maybe 3 months now, and I have purchased the protank 1 and 2. The protank 1 seemed to give me a lot of problems so I just purchased the protank 2. However the PT2 seems to also give me a lot of problems.

1. If I put the rubber grommet in normally like this, ====] it will start giving me either dry hits or a plastic taste to the vape.
2. If I put the rubber grommet upside down like this, ====[ no plastic taste, and no dry hits, but when the tank hits half way, it starts leaking ALOT, flooding and gurgling.
3. I tried to put 2 rubber grommets in like this, ====][ both problems in one, plastic taste, leak, and flood.

I just cant seem to find the right way of fixing these problems. Is there any fixes to these?? I just want to vape with no problems haha.

Since I have just started vaping I have a bunch of Protank coils spare, and haven't looked into rebuilding yet. Also i've been looking into new tanks with the same coil head because Ive been having so many problems with the Protank. Ive been looking into the hypertank and the vision victory tank. Any suggestions on those or maybe a fix to my protank problems?

Thanks!

I thow away my rubber grommet ... i have no idea why you would put it there upside down. its mean to prevent leaking. too much juice going into the coil. i just adjust the center pin. push it all the way down or add some wick if its leaking, move it up or remove some wick if your getting dry hits. its trial and error. some coils i dont have to make any adjustments, some of them i do.

The biggest frustration I faced with the Protank II was the coilheads would last me a day at most. I ultimately turned to rebuilding coils with cotton wicks and love my Protank II now. I also invested in an aerobase, which not only makes the Protank II compatible with just about any battery or mod, but protects them from leaking.

Take a gander at this thread; there's tons of great info, not just in the original post, but most of the replies.
