I don't know if you've messed with making coils yourself yet, but if you have, or if you have an interest in getting started on it, I'd spend my money on some Kanthal wire and some cotton and get started on micro coils for the Protank 2 instead.

I see it like this: Kanger stock single coil heads aren't exactly consistently good - twice the wick and wire just seems like twice as many places they can fail in my opinion :p

Sorry, I know it's not a hands on comparison of the two Protanks, it's just my opinion.

I was in the mood for a new tank and so far all I have been using is a Protank 2 and a Davide. I got the airflow bases on both. I was just wondering if there a big difference to the Protank 3...I know its dual coil but I have never tried dual coils on a clearomizer before.

Thanks!

PT 3 has no airflow control whatsoever. If you want to try a dual-coil Kanger, get the Aerotank. Or wait for the new Aerotank Mega and Mini and check the reviews.

I like my PT 2 with airflow control also.

Another good one with dual coils is the Aspire Nautilus. Again, I'm waiting for the mini version because the regular size (5 ml) is just way too big for me. I got an email from Aspire that it's ready and should be introduced on their website in a manner of days.

Dual coils need more wattage than the singles and they produce more vapor. They also drain batteries faster--and use more juice.
