Hey all...New guy here...Diggin all the info available on this board!

Question: I have a Kanger Protank 3. The coil was working perfectly and I have nothing bad to say about the device. Yesterday took apart and cleaned a coil...did everything nicely, or so I thought...When I reassembled it and vaped it, the draw was impossibly hard and vape production was inconsistent. Took it apart and reassembled it a few times to no avail...Any advice on what I may have done wrong?

You don't want to overtighten any pieces that are threaded together...only just snug...and that includes screwing it to the battery. If that is not the issue then it may simply be time for a new head, as cleaning and dry burning isn't really all that effective. The best thing is to learn how to rebuild those heads using cotton wick. I don't know about the dual coils on the PT3, but it's a piece of cake for me to rebuild the single coils on the PT2.

Your not the only one I am having some serious issues with mine as well have only had pt3 for about a week and have no idea what's wrong. Someone suggested doing a thorough cleaning but it didn't help tried also different heads single and double. I am getting very little cape compared to my evod tanks and doesn't taste quite right. Keep us updated if you figure out a fix for it as I would like to know.

I use this with my Pro Tank 2. Works great. I got mine from LiteCigUSA--but they are widely available.

IMO the insulator can only be squeezed by the positive contact pin, so you can tighten the head firmly to the base.
As soon as you screw the battery on, the positive connector sqeezes the insulator thus eventually blocking the airflow.
This is clearly Kanger's foulty design and was relieved with the Aerotank.
Use the Kanger Aerotank base and this problem is solved.
Tried this with PT2, PT3, Davide and other compatible BCC tanks and it works.:thumb:

Good luck
