I have recently purchased a PT3 and 5 extra replacement coils. After a few hours of use with stock coil, I had leaking issues so I replaced with the second coil that came with the tank. This happened again and I have read that the extra coils with the tank are not as good as the coils you purchase separately. So, I used one of my 5 last night and had leaking issues already this morning. I have been researching this for an hour or so and cannot find much info at all about the PT3. I do not over-tighten my tanks onto batteries. I have noticed that the pin inside the base of the tank does become more recessed than when I first attach the coil, so I took the base/coil apart and pulled on the pin a bit so that when it was all put together, the pin was flush with the base. However, one "vape" with it, and I have leaking again. I unscrewed the tank from battery and the pin was recessed. Anyone else have this issue? I am so frustrated here. Also, this happens on my ego twist, mini LT, and mini ZMax. I have tried everything I can think of to make this work. I hate wasting money and would have bought a PT2 but I was burning coils with dark chocolate mint juices. I was told that the dual coil would help with that.

When mine leaks it is because either the atomizer is not screwed all the way in or I have filled it up too much with juice. Take the tank off and blow through it into a napkin to remove excess juice from atomizer chamber. As for the pin, this generally happens because it is screwed in too tightly.

I also use an air flow controller so if any juice leaks out it is captured in it instead of on the battery.

Join the club---i got this recomendation/fix from another site--so far it is working

"here is how to fix the protank3(should work for others also), pull out coil head, take silicone seal off, pull off steal top, place a 2mm silica wick on top, put it back together, the leaking should stop well mine works great now,"

^^^^^^^ "usually" leaking is caused by too much juice entering the coil area. The extra wick should be able to absorb the extra juice. If no extra wick on hand you could use cotton ball IMO.

can I use 1mm silica wick for this? I do not have any 2mm right now. Also, it does not seem to be getting much air when I try to vape. I feel like I am sucking that pin up instead of attaching the tank too tightly. Sorry if that sounds weird. I rinsed out the coil when topping off and then dried every surface area on coil and tank with swabs. I wanted to be sure everything was clean and dry so there would be almost no chance of creating a potential leak.

I have used a pipe cleaner to push into the small tube to clean out e liquid that some how got in there. You can use a cotton tip to wipe off the e liquid from the battery.

As stated above make sure your atomizer is screwed in tight, do not overfill and if tight air draw use a tank air controller you can purchase one for around $3.

Alright, thanks! I decided to go over to a new B&M in the area to buy a PT2, and the lady there was very kind and experienced with vaping. She put a regular Kanger coil in my PT3 and it works great now! I have a ton of those and several that I have saved for rebuilding. I was under the impression that this could not be done, but it is great so far. I still want to get the PT3 coils to work because the single coils are awful with my dark juices. I could not remove the post to put extra wick in due to arthritis flare-up so I will have to try that on a better day. Thanks again everyone for your replies!
