not sure if anyone has tried this or want to but i built a few coils at .8ohms with 28g kanthal and using it on a mech. it works great with a nice low ohm coil. i prefer it better then a 1.5ohm coil.

not one at all. using 3mm silica wick. this is my 2nd .8ohm coil working gorgeously. you just need to build it nicely. also i find that if i fill the tank to full regardless of the coil ohms i get dry hits on any coil. the protank for some reason wont feed when the tank is full. so i fill about 3/4 now and have no issues. if you find your getting dry hits unscrew the base a bit until you see bubbles come up. once you see bubbles come up tighten it up a hair and you should be good to go. i rarely have to unscrew the base out but when using really thick juice you might. dont use any additional flavor wicks not needed with 3mm silica. not even with 100% pg. i find i get flooding when the tank gets down really low then i know its time to top it up. i will upload video to youtube and try to show you.

sorry the angle is wrong but i did it quick on my phone lol. i think i wrapped it 4-5 times with the 28g kanthal. th is better and vapor i find much better, flavor also isnt muted much.

also to add it tears through juice like no other lol. i go through a tank in like 4-5hrs if not less. trying to not chain vape lol. if you do you will blow through juice.
Its a trade off all that vapor has to come from somewhere. I notice I dont vape as much when I have a hot rod blowing clouds.
Im running a 6 wrap flat kanthal coil at 1.6 ohms and 12 watts and boy does the tank sure get hot. Got it wrapped arround two pieces of 2mm silica and it is impossible to get a dry hit.
