My only complaint about the mouthpiece on the Protank II, is that the gasket, at least the ones supplied with my kit, gives a very lose fit. I'm guessing that a beefier gasket would result in a fewer lost mouthpieces.

That is not what the Gaskets are for:D
They are replacement seals for the base.

Oh, FOOD GRADE SILICONE - Protank fix - let dry over night.

+ Pro Tank 2
Have 2 more coming vapemail.
Possible issues w/PT2: 1.8ohm might cause leaking, gurgling, juice suck, gack! Use the 2.2 or? My original came with the 1.8 and 2.2. I think they're selling the tank set up with 2-2.2ohm now.
I'm just waiting for a vendor to start selling the replacement parts for the tank.. JUST IN CASE!;)

You can get the bases many places. I just got two replacement tanks from PotionVapor. Expensive, but they are colored. Also, cigtechs has a new base for the protank II that is quite nice. It's coming along now. I was a big Davide Glassomizer fan, until the PTII. The drip tip on the DG is not sized right, but the PTII is perfect. Great vape, maybe the best clearo vape out there, imho.

Love my pro tank 2. Never had an original pro tank but the 2 is working great for me.

I have a question about the mention of the 1.8 coils leaking. What is it about the 1.8 specifically that makes it leak? Is it because the coils are smaller thus allowing more liquid in?
This is my experience and a video clip I caught on the web. The 1.8ohm, in combination with the white gasket on it, and the metal raised ring on the PT2 base, causes no or weak draw, then you loosen the base connection to you battery post to get a draw and it gurgles, leaks and you get a mouthful of juice. If you look at the 1.8 and the 2.2 ohm coils, the gasket is different. I get the Kanger Tech coils, don't go through them very quickly, so a 5 pack blister pack will last for 6+ weeks or more, just clean and re-use the used ones and they keep on going....so far. And avoid high VG.
