I had noticed something about the replacement heads for the PT2 that might lead to frustration for some. Most reviews for the Protank are positive, but there is also talk about "airy draw" and "gurgling" which I have had an issue with myself, on occasion. But, in my case, I think I figured out why. I have purchased replacment heads from 3 different sources, and I got 3 considerably differently designed heads. Take a look at the photos, but don't judge me on my mad picture taking skills!!!
I took them with my phone, and these little guys are pretty small:

In the above photo you should be able to see that there is 3 different styles of chimneys on these units. The 2 outside were claimed to be "authentic Kanger", which I know that they did change their design atleast once so no huge concern. The one in the middle had no claims of being authentic, but works great in an Evod, but not so well in the PT2. There is a possibilty that the shorter chimney COULD lead to gurgling, but don't quote me on that. I think this is less of an issue than the differences between the units on the connecting end. If you look at the photo below, you will see that they do vary quite a bit between the 3:

As you see, the size of the hole is different in each one, which will vary the draw and in turn, if the draw is too tight you might end up getting some gurgling by actually drawing more liquid through the wick than the coil can burn off. But not only does the hole size vary, but the actual shape of the contact varys quite a bit also. It is hard to tell from the pic, but one of the 3 is completely flat, which gives a tighter draw. Too tight, in fact. I actually have to loosen the tank a bit just to create enough airspace to get it to vape. The other 2 have beveled edges, but they also vary as to how much bevel they have, and how it's shaped. After noticing this, when I see a post that says something about gurgling or airy draw, I can't help but wonder if it is the style of the head causing the issue. On the one with the long chimney, I can't even get that thing to malfunction! I have even put a cotton wick in so thin that it barely even touched the sides of the coil, but still no flooding or gurgling. While with the flat bottomed one I can't remember building a single coil in it that has functioned as it should. I am not saying that one is better than the other, but I can't help but wonder if this is an issue that might be getting overlooked by folks that are getting frustrated with their PT2. I have some more heads coming from fastech that were labeled "authentic" and appear to have the long chimney, but like I said before, it seems that the other end is more so where the problem occurs. Does anyone have any further insight on this topic that can go more indepth on the variances between these units?
