Hey guys, I want to start rebuilding the coils for my miniprotank 2 and was wondering, what diameter bit should I use for the wrap? The guy at my local B&M said 5/64, same as a thread on here that I read about the subject, however on some youtube videos I watched they said to use a 1/16 bit. Which is better?

Also, I just picked up a itaste MVP2 and it came with an I30 clearo, can the coils for that be rebuilt? If it performs better than my protanks then it'll become my main tank and I don't want to have to keep shelling out $3 for coils all the time.

I use 32 gauge kanthal on a 1/16 or 5/64 depending on the wicking material and how you are planning on wicking. For example if I use sugar n cream cotton yarn I use 1/16 or something even thinner like a paper clip and wrap my coils around both the paper clip and yarn and just make sure the wraps are as uniformed as possible and touching for micro coil with no over lapping for hot spots. I use my mini PT 2 on my mvp v2.0 using both methods and works great either way. Normally I find it to work best around 2-2.5 ohms from anywhere between 3.8-4.5 volts depending on the juice flavoring and pg/vg ratio. My sweet spot is around 4.2 volts on the mvp with the mini PT

Edit : Idk if the iclear attys are rebuildable, I got the iclear 16's x2 on my mvp v2 kit but don't really use them.

I'll be using organic cotton balls for the wick.

I use organic cotton for my kayfun builds on my ProVari and my omega rda. I have a lot of extra coil heads for the mini PT to try out a cotton build but I'm perfectly happy using the yarn and it's easy to use. I might try a cotton build to see if there's a difference but then again the sugar n cream yarn is cotton itself so I don't see how much of a difference it would be but who knows, it's always fun to experiment and try out new builds lol
