It sounds like your ProTank is not making a good connection to the device that you are using it on. When you lay it down, that is just enough movement for the PT to disconnect. You may want to try using a 510 to 510 adapter if you do not have another device to try it on.

Good luck to you!

Btw- Never overtighten a tank/atty/carto on your device. That could cause the center pin on your device to sink and cause the connectivity issues. If you think that you may have done that, an adapter may still help.

Also, try slipping something thin under the center pin on your PV and gently lifting it a little. Or it could be the screw thread on the Protank. I found them really fragile, at least on the V.1. You can get new bottoms, in some places, mostly the USA. They say the V.2 is stronger, I'm waiting on the vape post to find out. :D

Salemgold is right. There is a rubber gasket just above the center pin of the head if you over tighten that it will get compressed and may not work on that mod or another. Sometimes you can pull on the center pin a bit (don't pull it out) and it may remedy the problem. Also you may have a film on the center pin of the mod. A qtip with alcohol will clean that up. If it is real dirty a pencil eraser will get it clean. Don't scratch it up if you can avoid it. The center pin is the part I have to clean the most the threads seem to be forgiving.
