As far as inconsistent coils go, I had a guy at a local B&M tell me he sells non-Kanger replacements because they are better/more consistent than the Kangers. YMMV
A protank is a protank. Nothing extra special, and not the worst to pick, but hey, it is what it is a beginners tank, that when filled and screwed on properly, and used within it's limitation, it will produce vape, Not big luscious clouds of tasty vape, just meager muted flavored vape. It works, nothing to write home about, nothing to brag about. It's a protank. A very small tank with limited range of attributes. I am one that used to think they were wonderful, but quickly learned what they weren't. They weren't the ultimate in vape, they weren't a fantastic atomizer, they weren't anything special unless compared to a generic plastic run of the mill clearomizer that comes with your basic run generic cheap ego like style battery, then yeah, in that respect they are vape giants. But compared to a quality rba or even the Aspire Nautilus, the PT doesn't ever rate honorable mentions. Maybe a do your remember when thought, but that's it. A POS by any other name. The only thing it has going for it is a glass tank and a replaceable coil. Heck you can get the flashi clone for $22.45 and have a respectable atomizer that really truly is one of the great ones. The only good thing I can say about the PT is that it got me off cigarettes, and that they make a decent PIF gift for a newbie vaper. Also if you paint them up they make a great Christmas tree ornaments.
Sure you can rebuild them, which is great if you plan to get a real rba, the pt is like training wheels, but it's time in the annals of vape history has come and gone, the PT should be buried and given it's final respects. So long, farewell, and thanks for the fish.
There are just so many superior changeable atomizers out there that truly put the pt to shame. It's time to let go of that bone before you choke on it and die.
Sadly, though you vape your PT's at 9 watts, that is really nothing to brag about. Most juices cannot even be appreciated till you find an atomizer that can handle at least 14 watts, and no words can explain the vape I experience with my Aqua with a .3 ohm quad dual vertical mounted build vaped in the 50 watt zone, now DAMN!!! That is a GREAT VAPE!!!!
I just read about this trick and it has made a world of difference for me, YMMV, take the cup gasket on the head and turn it around, this allows more juice to the coil and I am getting a lot more flavor and vapor without burnt hits, try it you might like it. I'll add that I am going through more juice this way but the flavor and convenience of the PT is were its at for on the go!
For a totally un-mechanical person, could you please explain how to take the "cup" head off the "gasket" and turn it around? Thank you, lol!!
