Kayfun Nirvana!
If it works for you, wonderful. But one toke off a Kayfun lite+ or a russian 91% and you too will become a convert. I started on the PT2's and grew tired quickly of screwing with the tiny atty. Tiny flavor, tiny wick, tiny vapor production, thats a protank. You'll spend way less making your own coils and using cotton balls instead of paying for those little chinese fingers to make those subpar blister packs. Yeah Yeah, I know they arent much money. But I was going through pt coils like no tomorrow. Every 3days I was even rebuilding those little PITA's a dozen at a time. No thanks. And I lost count how many times I had to remove my protank from my device to wipe off the juice that leaks out the bottom. As a former pt user, the IRE really is well deserved. just my opinion.

You really have gotta find someone with a Kayfun, It REALLY is a world away.

I think that sometimes we lose sight of the reason we start vaping... to stop smoking. We forget that the vast majority of people who read these forums- especially the new member forum- are people who just want to stop smoking... maybe they purchased a Blu Cig or a V2 or an NJoy at their local CVS or Gas Station... they tried it and though, "yeah, this might work"... and so they came here. They came because they knew it might work but they needed something a little better...

The last thing they need is to be steered towards RBA's where they need to know what the heck they are doing- tools, voltages, ohms, coils, wicks, etc... did you know any of that when you started? Did any of us? Are there better vapes out there than a ProTank? YES! But for someone new to vaping, who is just trying to quit the smokes and have a good experience doing it... the ProTank is where its at...

If your a new vaper reading this... get a ProTank and some extra coils... you'll be glad you did.

Original Protank user here - I envy those of you who've never had a problem. I get leaks and gurgling all the time, especially when below 1/2 tank - have tried most of the fixes out there with limited success.

Despite the issues, I keep using my Protanks, and I still love 'em. Coils are simple to replace, and I just keep a shot glass of vodka handy - every couple days rinse the one I've been using out and drop it in the vodka, pull the one soaking out to dry, and pick up the one that's been sitting on the counter for a couple days after its bath and pop it back in. As long as the tank is kept mostly filled up the leaks and gurgling are (almost) non-existent, and I've only had to trash like 2-3 coils over like five months. Definitely getting my money's worth out of these tanks, even without rebuilding.

I have read a lot of comments about their RBAs, their "elite" setup, and how they dislike the protank/mini protank. All I have to say is, they've lost sight of their roots. I am not a "pro" vaper, and I'm not a "bad to the bone, quad coil vape so much my vapor produces it's own lightning" type user, But I am a pretty knowledgeable vaper. The protank has a LOT going for it, and it is definitely one of the best in it's class. I am actually ordering a mini protank to be shipped along side my Aqua clone. Glass allows for all sorts of e-liquid, Coils can be replaced, and they produce great flavor and vapor. I'd give them a thumbs up, and definitely they should be put in the history books as one of the best atomizers for their time.

On a side note, I'd like to see someone vape their quad coils while driving in the middle of winter.... do they look like a vaping version of cheech and chong when they get out of their cars?

i just started - with the protank II - so i dont have any other atty to compare with...

i quite like this pro II, it produces proper clouds and is pretty hassle free...
no leaks, sometimes little gurgling after refilling (liquid in the center post), easy to refill and to handle...
that it leaks a very little (drop) out of the coil into the 510 threading seems normal...

...just wish, my itaste vv3 would do better and i could vape, actually...

I have everything from evods, to protanks, to protank mini's, to vivi's, to RBA's and RDA's.

I still use my original protank every day. I have a 1 ohm 28ga 5/4 wrap on XC-116 on kicked magneto that works awesome. Does it leak occasionally? Yup. Does it gurgle from time to time? Yup.

Do I still use it every day? Yup.

Word! Well i get no gurgling because i often clean the middle hole with ear bud stick. Leaking? Just some tiny, micro drops on center pin, really nothing bad. I can say that the protank1 hits a little more/better than protank2, airflow... Both are great and simple clearos and i use them daily as my primary atomizers, alongside of rsst. Few more days till kayfun :)

lol- I look like that with my PT2 Mini, because I vape with the ac off and the windows shut tight just so when I next get into my car I can revel in the NOT smell of stinkies, lol. It still amazes me that my car now smells good, and the PT's will always hold a place in my heart for getting me off ciggys, no matter what else I may or may not start using!! They were my first loves and I'm still in love with them, lol...

I agree 100%! I have been vaping for 1.5 years and started with NJoy, then Cig2O, then ego batteries, and today I got my first mod, an iTaste SVD. I couldnt be any happier. Its a dream unit right out of the box. And I use a Davide BCC/EVODs on mine. I actually like how easy it is to change attys on those. I buy [20] 2.5 Ohm attys on ebay for $25/shipped. I use an atty for around 3-4 days. Thats like .25 cents a day. Completely worth it IMO. I dont have to piss around with rebuilding hardcore attys that take like 15-20 minutes to rebuild. I pop my old atty off, throw another one in, and refill while I do it. I use Q-Tips to clean my tanks, and I couldnt be any happier!

What Im getting at is, I think 99% of us vapers started the same way I did. I would say its VERY rare that a noobie vaper started out with a mech mod and an expensive kayfun! We have to learn in steps like I did. I have zero reason to switch from my Davide/EVOD BCCs. If a new vaper likes what theyre doing, theyll continue to grow and learn more!

So my advice would be to buy [1] EVOD tank, and [1] Protank/Davide BCC. Just start out with Ego/Anyvape batteries and have fun! They use the same attys, and are a breeze to change :)

BTW fellow vapers, whats the exact process with soaking the attys in vodka? Just soak and then let dry? I dont want to piss around doing dry hits and all that stuff. Mainly because I dont quite understand it. But how long do you let them soak? How long to dry? I buy [20] attys at a time, and if I can extend them longer than 3-4 days I would be one happy vaper 8)
