This makes no sense to me!

When I place the 510 adaptors on my new Protege (which I love) I have to push harder(I mean real hard) on the button to make the atomizer fire up.

I tried changing the post inside the adaptor but all this did was change how far the adaptor screws down onto the tube and how deep the atomizer screws into the adaptor.

The 901 adaptor works great without having to change anything.

Please Help:rolleyes:

Have you tried putting a meter on the center post of the adapter with a normal press of the button to see if there is voltage? (assuming of course if you have a meter)

good thought, I do have one somewhere would just have to find it.

I would think that when I press the button the way I do with the 901 it won't and pressing it hard it will.

Hey Glenn ...

The 510 atomizer is a male type thread, meaning, it CAN press the center post down. Same can't be had on the 901, meaning that center post never moves. I'm guessing this may have been the problem. Both adapters are pressed the same and are equally distant from the switch when they first arrive. A few hard screw ins of the 510 atomizer WILL press that post down and in. To fix, you can flip the adapter and tap it back out, or use your adapter to adjust. You may need to turn the adapter a bit to get that perfect press.

Yeah...Seems like the way the 510 is setup..being male thread with the post can get real picky. You just gotta make sure everything is lining up as far as the posts go. Sometimes if ya pull down the little post on the 510 atty, like with a small metal pin or something just a tad. Over time the post gets jammed higher and higher.

Hi everyone!

What's the main difference between these atomizers? I've been trying to get some answers... I need an atomizer that will be SHORT so my Protege (when I order it), with the atomizer on, is not too long. I also drip, so, what would you guys reccomend?

Thanks!!

The 510 is the shortest atty and burns the hottest. Not sure how it'll work at 5 or 6 volts I've read it's has a burnt taste at higher voltage.

510 should be fine with your protege,
if you find it isnt you can always use an adapter and try 901 or 801s with it. 510 is shortest and is a good atty. the difference is size and the larger you go the cooler the vape.

Leovan,
If you have a 901 adapter for the protege and prodigy v2 , then yes you can use the same atty on each. Same go's for the 510 and 801. As long as you buy the adapter for that atomizer then you can use them on either or. As far as what is the BEST choice, its all personal opinion. I like the 510 on the 3.7volt Protege device. But I tend to like the 801 on the Prodigy v2 at 5volts. You kinda have to mess around with each and find what you like best.

The 510 can handle the 5volts on the prodigy v2...I just dont like it as much as the 801 because you tend to loose a little flavor..its still very doable tho. The 510 and 901 are close in size...They both preform well, but I lean towards the 510 over the 901.

Thanks Tim

Question though, what is THE difference between a 510 and a 901, I mean, how much bigger is the 901 and what are the differences between them... just the size?

Also, if I were to choose an atomizer that will perform GREAT on both the Prodigy V2 and the Protege, what will be my BEST choice (except the 801), the 510 or the 901?

Thanks!!

I just measured both of them of them for you from the top of Protege the 510 is just under 2" with the cart and the 901 is just over 2" with the cart. The 510 atty alone is just under 1" and the 901 atty is 1 1/4".

As several others and I have said before in many posts the 510 on a 5 to 6 volt is a little harsh it is nice on 3.7 volts. The 901 is a great atty great taste at both 3.7 and from what I hear 5 to 6 volts.

Good luck and vape on!
And go JETS!
