hey kard ...

yup, the PS logo on our website will be engraved roughly 1/2" below the button :)

Puresmoker logo? you're going with that instead of the Protege name?

honestly, i love that the Prodigy does say Prodigy, but i do think "puresmoker" would be a little better, plus "brand recognition" and all.

and yes Steve, my logo is still neon green crayon on the Prodigy...and i'll pick a bright color to fill in the logo on the Protege too ;)

I think he's only using the PS logo. It will look cool as hell.

LOL ... Next one will likely be the PP ;)

Yes, screwed in tight. Center post (within) was lengthened so it will work with both JOYE510 atomizers, and the other 510 atomizers manufactured elsewhere :)

Yeah, I think this whole Protege buzz is just a smoke screen to avoid talking about the PP.

OK, real question, since the 306 threads onto the 510 batteries can you think of any reason the Protege wouldn't work with 306 atomizers? Any PT users who can give a hard confirmation on this?

Hey Gatsby,

Yeah, the 306 atomizers work, but get hotter than hell with the passthru. They will probably stay cooler with the Protege. Also, the J118/VX2 and J108 atomizers work, but you need to file down the extra ridge so that the threads are aligned with the center post, much like a 510 atomizer.

One other thing, My 510's screw all the way down in my passthru, unlike the pic on the protege. Steve, you guys should be recieving my passthru soon, it's the one with red wire that broke off it's solder point. Is that okay? I didn't notice any difference in performance when the passthru worked.

I kind of suspect that these little boogers would get too hot at high voltages and you are now the second person to mention it. Good thing I find myself pretty happy with 3.7v as long it stays consistent for a length of time.

Funny you should mention the J1x8s. I had tried a J108 atomizer on the 510 batteries and got nothing. I should have noticed the ridge on the atomizer. Anyway I never did bother trying the 306 on the J108 batteries and they don't screw all the way down, leaving the gap just like the photo of the protege. It works fine and actually gives a nice smooth draw that way. If the Protege works the same way it might be a nice little combination. Its interesting that the PT, which is supposed to use the same adaptors) doesn't work that way.

I wonder if cashmere has any input on this. I would rather it screw all the way down. He mentioned he extended it so it would accept the j-510 knock-off atomizers..
I would't like the knock-off's to look better on the adaptor than the true 510's. I never plan on buying the knock off's due to complaints of carts not fitting.

Good question. I'm thinking of getting a Protege. Wonder if you can tap the center post down a bit?

Are you guys saying that the atomizers don't sit flush down in the Protege, but the threads stick up and show?

yes, but it doesnt look bad.
