this one is thinner.. it will only have half the run time thow.. fitted with a mini atomizer type it would be quite small..

trog

Good work Trog - definitely put me on the list for one!

Does the thinner device take the 10430/10440 battery type - if so would you use two per device? Just that I've found with only one of the 10430/10440 batteries on the cigar, they don't pull very well and die out pretty quickly.. however two might just be the answer!

I think given the choice between the screwdriver and the thinner version, I'm digging the s/driver design more, based on practicality (ie. longer runtime) and actually personally prefer the unique design... :thumb:

part of the cigar problem is the atomizer and suck switch not just the battery.. the battery part is just about up to the job.. notice i say just about.. the thinner device does use a cigar battery.. the screwdriver design is a much better option.. nicer to hold and use as well..

how long you getting on the screwdriver before the performance drops, dude !

dunno.. i recon the batteries should be good for two or three months.. they are cheap to replace.. the device itself should last a fair time..

the atomizers.. well u know as much about how long they last as i do.. i would say they last us two week on average.. most would say longer..

the manual switch and big battery can have pros and cons.. without doubt it produces more vapour and for longer.. but could with incorrect use shorten atomizer life.. in some ways its a user choice.. manual control usually is..

Come on Trog where's your sense of optimism?! So, banks are collapsing, oil prices are at an all time high and food riots are breaking out daily in the developing world... even when the polar ice caps melt and I'm sitting on a dwindling patch of land with water lapping at my feet, happily puffing away, I'll be safe in the knowledge that I chose the 'Screwdriver' (over and above that other cheapo rubbish) to see me through even the trickiest situations... oh feck where's the blinkin powerpoint gone.. glug, glug, glug.... ha ha

:) Hi Trog, it was after reading Ned's review that I came to this thread. I have only just got my mini but something larger for when I'm sat on the pc/in front of the tv at home is what I'm aiming for for my next buy. I like the capacity of the pen size but not the look (no offence to the people that do have them and love them- I'll probably have to get one anyway!). The screwdriver just looks amazing as it's unlike anything else out there.:thumb:

u might like one of these dahlia.. its got a name now.. "The Techno Cigar"..

no-name.jpg

it looks very flash and high tech.. it will come a bit cheaper than the screwdriver.. fours hours heavy use run time and takes a pen style atomizer..

assuming i can get all the bits in.. some should be available in about a week..

it looks better in the flesh than the pic.. pretty "flash".. very high tech..

One thing you will probably realise as time goes by. It won't be such a big deal how big , what shape, you use as you will eventually find out . I am the first to admit I'm guilty of slagging different size devices in the past. But we all learn and regret what we have previously moaned about.

Most of us in the long run will want a device that has decent cartridge length and battery length and at present only the larger devices produce this.

that one ned can be quite small.. it has a 10440.. 400 mah-ish battery.. its long purely for stying reasons and it take a big classic atomizer.. the atomizer is as big as the device.. he he he

u would get four hours out of it.. say half the screwdrivers run time.. manual smoke control and screwdriver performance..

the screwdriver is the power device thats for sure.. but the "Techno Cigar" will piss all over any other thing except the screwdriver..

but something similar could be quite small using a smaller type atomizer.. what it cant do is look like a real cigarette..

i have moved on.. bugger copying real fags lets bring e smoking into the world it belongs in.. "High Tech".. time to move on..

Trog I might be sending you my crappy L. T. batteries to look at. If I don't send these back as I have not got round to doing so as yet and they will probably screw me on the returns but I did agree to send a couple back which they did replace in the last order so I have to send these two batteries back anyway. But like the comic Jimmy Cricket used to say and there's more.
