Alright alright alright already I ordered one man you guys sure make this thing sound good what are you being paid for all this hype? Question when I ordered it did not take me to a page to pay does this come later or did the web page screw me he he

Great! We get paid for every one sold, so thank you!

Just kidding, although I do sort of wish that were the case. I was over a friend’s house earlier this week, and he was so impressed with the XPV that he ordered one on the spot.

In terms of payment, you’ll get an email from Protovapor shortly with payment instructions. You’ll pay them using Paypal. You’ll then get a shipping notice with a tracking number when it ships. They are in Hawaii, so transit time can be 3-5 days.

Congrat’s on the purchase! What options did you order?

I don't know about the bdcs they have been getting really bad reviews

If you talking about the Aspire BDCs, I have a couple. The deal on them is that when they work, they are great, best vapor production and taste I have ever gotten from a clearomizer (although that is kinda damning them w/ faint praise lol). The problem is that the heads are very inconsistent. My experience is that out of three one will work great, one will be kinda meh (decent vapor, lackluster taste), and one will just be bad. Compounding that problem is that unlike the Kanger Protank/Evod heads they can't really be worked on, or rebuilt.

Back to the XPV: I am ready to pull the trigger on one. Just waiting to get a reply from Protovapor on a couple of questions that I sent them. The one that I have all dialed up, just need to hit send, is an 18650, silver, grey trim, low profile 510 connector, removable belt clip, clicky light grey button, with the Panasonic battery. I have a lot of stainless 22mm atties, some matt, some shiny, and I hope that that combo will be the best looking one w/them. If anyone has that same combination of options and can tell me how it has worked out for them, I would love to hear it.

Another answer needed on this please. I have an RDA at 0.9ohm working fine on the XPV. It shows 0.9ohm on the display along with the ohm symbol. I also have an RSST with a twisted microcoil running at 0.8ohm, that also works great on the XPV but since this morning I notice that the 0.8 on the display is now flashing when I fire it, the ohm symbol is not showing at all when this is happening just the 0.8. Is this anything to concern myself with? I thought perhaps I was not giving it enough power so cranked it up, but it makes no difference.

Even set to 20 watts and fired it still is flashing ohms at you?

The DNA20 can only step down the volts so far, so when your battery is fully charged at 4.2, it cant go down as far as when your at half a charge and the battery is more like 3.7

When the DNA 20 flashes the ohms, it means it cant dial the voltage to where you have your wattage set, so your just getting the raw battery voltage. You still have the full protection features at play though!

It basically turns into a protected mech at that point.

Thanks again, I powered it off and back on again and the 0.8ohm was showing along with the symbol so all appears to be back to normal again. Some useful info there you have provided, I must brush up and try to learn a bit more about ohms and voltage. Problem is since my heart attack in July my head has been screwed right up, what used to come as second nature when it came to learning something, now proves difficult. I understand what I am reading but keeping that locked in my head is proving more difficult than I thought. Do the majority of people use the XPV with coils of around 1.2 and above do you reckon, or are there a few using it for sub ohms? I would like to do some dual coils and fully understand about halving the total of the two to achieve my desired resistence. What I don`t want to do is cause damage to the XPV in the process, so what would be a minimum to go down to? I was looking at a dual Ribbon nano that should come out at 0.7ohm. To be honest I think that would be low enough for me, but I am happy to be told different. Thanks once again.

I have a dual coil dripper I run at 0.7 ohms and the XPV drives it very well.

Lower then .5 ohms and it will not fire.

The new DNA30 will fire down to .3 ohm

Just curious, what is the amp limit of the switch in the XPV? I was looking on their site and couldn't find what it was. Everything else is there except that... Did I miss it somewhere?

The amp limit on the switch would be irrelevant because it is not having the current passed through it, it is simply telling the DNA20 that it should fire, and it then sends the current directly to the 510.
