I suppose it would be rude not to post a pic up, forgot to mention that whilst I ordered the flush 510 fitting, they included a 510/ego adapter with adjustable positive pin, which I thought was a nice touch.
I have a dual coil dripper I run at 0.7 ohms and the XPV drives it very well.
Lower then .5 ohms and it will not fire.
The new DNA30 will fire down to .3 ohm
So what power setting do you run that at Jameth? Not sure if you class yourself as a heavy vapour, but how long on average does the battery last you from a full charge?
Well I took the plunge. Protovapor responded to my questions in less than 24 hours (and on a weekend!) which impressed me very much. They did say that they didn't presently offer the Sony Konion US18650VTC4 batteries, but would be probably getting in some in about a week. I went ahead and ordered the XPV with the Pannie batteries, but offered to beta test the Sony's for them.
The unit I ordered was the grey 18650 with black trim and grey button, remove able clip, Panasonic batts, and 510 low profile connection.
In their email they said their current lead time was about 3-5 business days from payment. Can't wait to try it out!
On that 0.7 dual coil, when on the XPV, I like it anywhere from 16 to 20 watts, usually sitting around 18 watts, which is 9 watts per coil.
I vape about 3 to 5 ml a day, depending on what device I am using primarily, and the nic strength I have loaded.
I haven't done extensive testing with just the XPV and these higher power settings, but from my experience, I am pretty sure it would still give you roughly a full day at 16 - 20 watts, but you would certainly be needing a charge at night.
Most of the time my XPV is running a topper that I like around 12 watts or so lately.
My XPV has the Panasonic 2900 mah battery, I actually have a couple of the very same panasonic cells, that I have been running in a mechanical REO Grand the last couple weeks, and with that same .7 ohm dual coil, starting with a fully charged battery, ran from 8 am to 8 pm, it will come out of the mod at about 3.7 volts.
Really love the convenience of a bottom feeder mod, I think Protovapor could make a KILLING with a well designed, compact, bottom feeding DNA20/30 mod.
I would order 2 in a heartbeat...
I have been fantasizing about finding a source for the case that Protovapor is using in the XPV, chopping it down to the size of an 18650, somehow bond two of them together side by side, one holding the battery, one holding the DNA20, with the 510, and a juice bottle to feed the 510, something along those lines...
Not to sure how you would make it easy to fill the bottle though...
Two XPV's next to each-other is almost identical width to a REO Grand
While not a DNA 20/30 device, this BF mod has me all in a froth because I was able to choose the wood I wanted Read: (This is the color/variation that I wanted it).A big plus! Plus it's so damn sexy... and I was wondering what all the hub-bub about squonking was... lol. I guess I will find out when my place in the queue is here...

However, I must add that my XPV rocks with my Russian 91% @ 10.5 watts... And I do not regret my acquisition of it in the slightest!
Wow that is some pretty wood.
So you just bought the block at certain dimensions and then send it to him to make it?
Curious on what the total cost your in on something like that by the time its a vapeable mod in your hand, care to share the details?
What did the block of wood cost you?
Hey all, just sent in my payment to Protovapor for a new 18650 XPV. I seem to remember reading somewhere that there was a time limit on responding to the invoice and payment, but I cannot find it now. I got my invoice on the morning of Jan 21 and just sent in my payment this morning. Hopefully, there won't be any problems because of this delay.
Anyway, very psyched to get another DNA 20 mod and will be stalking the mailman until it arrives. I also will be stalking him because I also just received a long awaited invoice from Bay City Vapors for their XXIX Copper mod. XXIX | Bay City Vapor.
A great new regulated mod and a great mech in the same week, woot! Now to get back to work to pay for my mod addiction lol.
Welp.....
Decided this was my 5 year vape-aversry present! 18650, Blacked out!!
When are they switching to or adding the 30?

Sweet. I'm going to hold off then.According to a post on their website, they said it would be a couple of weeks:
We do plan to offer the DNA 30D in our full-size XPV models. At this time ETA is roughly 2 weeks. We are not rushing it to market, and will spend some time testing to make sure we can continue to stand behind our product.
