The charger board is a separate little board offered by Evolv to provide on-board battery charging, a function which is not integral in the dna controller itself. The charger board has the micro-USB socket on it. It's mounted at the very bottom of the XPV. Sorry, I'm not taking my XPV apart again this evening to show it to you in situ, but here's a picture of it from Evolv's website:

When you say that the micro-USB charger is a "worry in the long run", I'm assuming because it is merely an electronic piece and will surely fail first before any other components do, correct?

I'm not worried about the electronics per se, but the micro-USB socket on that board, which can take a beating if you're not gentle when inserting the charging cable. See for example the problems people have had with the micro-USB socket in the first-generation Nexus 7 tablet. It's not a big deal, the whole board only costs $7.50 from Evolv, and it's only two wires that need to be soldered and it's held in with two screws. But like I said, if I was buying spare parts (which I might do one of these days) it would be relatively high on my list.

That wasn't directed at you man! I linked to yours cause I at first was talking about Vanessa. And it was a joke!

I wanna hear the story!

Oh no worries, was joking myself.

Long story short, said reviewer was reviewing a 14500 mod and using a RBA on top of it, then he said and I quote "I don't remember what battery I have in here and my coils are dual @ .6 ohms...... I Think! Not sure, but it should be fine." Now as someone who had a lot of newbs watching his videos, he owes it to the community to make sure these people know when it comes to sub ohms you have to know for sure....

Anyway like I said it just rubbed me wrong.

Agreed!! It's a big responsibility when you are a popular reviewer. Gotta be careful what you do and say as noobs will hang on your every word and follow your direction.

Ok so my DNA30 made it to my hometown early this morning only to sit all day at the post office because of president's day. :/ if it weren't for the holiday I would have had it this morning. 3 days from Hawaii is not bad!

Ouch that hurts....

Same goes for me with 130mL of juice, a kayfun 3.1 clone, and a bunch of kanthal...

wish it was my XPV though! Still haven't received payment instructions :(

It does however look like they are upgrading their site!

I am still waiting to make a payment. Man I never had an apv that makes my mouth watwr at the thought of vaping. Not even my provari did that until after. I got it and needed to send it back to get the converter fixed. Hopefully I will get payment instructions tomorrow and then just wait for shipping to bring it to my hands.

On a side note a while back I was thinking of getting a picture of charlton Heston at one if his NRA speeches and Photoshop a provari over the rifle and put the caption "From my cold dead hands on it" but if all of the hype on the xpv is true it may be the xpv that gets photo shopped in instead.

I love my xpv but I've got this Hana V3 fever I can't get over! The girlfriend got her tax return and said she'd buy one for me, but I can't find any DNA30s. May just go for another xpv lol

I like the idea of being able to swap out the batts in the Hanna, but a box mod just doesn't do it for me. I wouldn't mind if they had a nice matte black or dark grey without all them shiny buttons. The main draw for me with the xpv is that it's black, good ole fashion black.

Same exact reason I opted out of the Hanna v3. Also, the current pre-orders are only for the Legoland edition colors. Sure, that green looks really sleek, but I'm sure it would hurt my eyes after a month. Need to have that all-black XPV instead ;)
