Does anybody here have any feedback on the sticky button issue!?

I thought this would be the place to ask related questions to an XPV but mabey not... Im fully capable of taking the thing apart, its a new device to me so I don"t know whats inside, how cramped it is and what not. Is it worth it? Sticky button seems more complicated than crossed threads though.
There are a number of pictures in this thread that show the innards. Why not e-mail Protovapor? Personally, I'd ask if they'd just sell me a new switch.

The button is such a super high quality button that all I can think of is the guy selling it spilled juice inside of it
That would be my theory too.

I changed my order from the black shell to the new green shell. I'd imagine the green isn't in as high demand as the other new colors, but I could be wrong.

My XPV was waiting for me when I got home from work yesterday. I'm surprised by how light this thing is; noticeably lighter than my ProVari mini in 18490/500 mode. I'm going to have to get used to a top-heavy mod - I've topped the XPV with my Zenith V2. When I opened the box, I admit I was slightly irked by how light the green was compared to my perception of it in the pic. But the color really changes with the light and it's got a nice metallic hue to it...it's a nice match to my metallic bronze ProVari. I'm really diggin my XPV. :thumb:

Sorry, no pics yet. :(

My Hana V3 mini is extremely light and very top heavy so I guess I will have to get used to a much taller MOD being top heavy.I was hoping the XPV,being a taller device, would be a little more weighty in hand than what is reported about them so far.

I guess I should qualify my perception of top-heaviness. My Zenith V2 previously sat on my Private V2 in Kicked 18490/500 mode. The heft of the Private V2 is akin to a bludgeoning weapon when compared to the XPV, regardless of topper. I've been using my XPV now for less than 24 hours and I can honestly say that my perception is changing with each use. I just had myself a vape and my muscle memory is no longer expecting the heft of the Private V2.

I guess what I'm trying is, don't worry about getting used to the difference in heft/balance. Honestly, the pics make the XPV look a lot taller than it actually is.

I went with the basic silver finish, myself. Since I have heard at least on one of the black ones, the anodizing wasn't really thick, and started showing some bare aluminum. In the future, I may possibly strip off all of the silver finish, and leave it bare aluminum. If I do that though, I will probably replace the two end plates with thick stainless steel, at the same time. Hopefully the silver finish on mine is durable enough, it won't get beat up easily though...

Shipping notice received!

Order #429 (and #430 cuz I forgot to add the removable clip option in #429 :p ) placed 3/10. Payment completed 3/12, for those keeping track. That's 26 business days, so mine was completed ahead of lead time stated at the time of my order.

Cool. My order was on 4/7 guess I better get my order in for a black KFL so it will be here when the XPV shows up.

Im really happy to report on my #066 the button issue seems to have resolved itself!...

Ever since I "threatened" it by contacting Protovapor which by the way responded very very quickly, super pleased with their customer support, anyways yeah I can't make it stick if I try with several different atty's. Super! Man I love this mod!

And thanks for those responses, FYI their (protovapor) first suggestion was to see if it happened with those longer 510 center pins.

This from Protovapor:
"Okay that's good news. Generally it's more prone to that happening with atomizers with long center pins that extend beyond the bottom of the 510"

Alright guys. Order 439 just shipped.

I've got a VERY LONG WAIT, then. (Order 605) I was thinking, surely they must be further along than that... but we do have to remember, not all of those order numbers are for a mod. some are for other items. (Not many other kinds of items, but there are some) Oh well... I was going to buy a ProVari, but changed my mind there. (For now at least) Did find a great deal on a used GP Paps Lux 2.5. in mint condition, So I'm going to be playing around with higher rated sub ohm coil building for a bit, instead. I want to try playing around with kanthal ribbon in the KFL+'s The only device I currently have that can run sub ohm stuff, is the JoyeTech eVic Easy Head, but it doesn't have very good amperage, and takes longer to heat the coil than a mech, or DNA...

Your only 8 spots after me. My current KFL+C setup is .5x1mm ribbon with a 5/6 wrap on a 5/64 bit. That comes in at 1.4 ohms with cotton wick. Have it on a Vamo V2 with stacked 350s at 4.8 volts which is about 16.5 watts. The heat up on this is quick.

Will you make sure and post here, when you get your notice? (Although, I may be receiving one at the same time as you....)

Coils are fun. I have several sizes, and types of resistance wire, and wicking methods/materiials. It's only going to get more fun, as my power source capabilities expand. :)

Yup sure will. I keep checking this thread to see what numbers have shipped to get an idea of how close I'm getting.
