It wouldn't be at all difficult for someone skilled in 3D CAD (which I am not!) to draw up something like that and make it available for purchase from Shapeways.

Ehhhh.... unless Shapeways accepts AutoCad 1.0 files and my IBM PC XT still fires up I think I'll stick to some nice wood and a chisel set :p

The pad is a great idea for out and about use.

Did you just glue it to the bottom, or did the rubber pad come with an adhesive side?
The rubber I used (which was donated by another member) had some adhesive and a peel-away backing on it already, but I suspect some plain rubber sheeting stuck on there with classic rubber cement or contact cement would do the job just as well.

I've had mine for a week now and I'd like to share some thoughts.

This think is freakin awesome!

I like an airy draw and tend to do lung hits, so my preferred tank is the Fogger v4. With the XPV I am getting better flavor and consistent hits than on my other regulated mods. The battery life is all day with no problems when I am using my tanks at 12 - 18 watts. My other devices (an iTaste MVP & VTR) have already been sold to newly vaping friends. Everywhere I go, vapers want to give it a try with whatever tank/RDA they are using. It is lightweight and fits easily into my pockets. The beltclip works well but could be a little tighter to the case. I've had it slide out of my pocket a couple of time while sitting. The new 510 connector has worked with every device that I own and everything that my friends have tried on it.

At first I wasn't happy with the performance of the XPV with my RDAs. However, I received my Magma Paradigm yesterday and I can no longer gripe about the performance of the XPV with RDAs. Outstanding. I guess sometimes you do get what you pay for. The cheap Helios RDA clones that I have just where not performing with the XPV. Live and learn. If I have one gripe about the XPV it is battery life when I am using a RDA. When I use them I am running at 25-30 watts and can burn up the battery pretty fast. Admittedly, I was chain vaping at poker night and had to plug it in after a couple of hours (gotta love pass through charging). I don't have a solution for that one. A larger battery or multiples would ruin the compactness which is what most of us love about this device.

I still have a mech mod for those occasional time when I feel the need for super sub ohm cloud chasing. Evolv needs to make a 100 watt Dna chip. Then I would have everything.

Overall, I think the XPV is well worth the money. Quality of craftsmanship is superb and I prefer the design to the Hana (my brother has one) or the other box mods I have owned. All told for an all day device that performs and is easy to carry around, the XPV is hard to beat.

I've got a partial solution to the battery life problem. I am now using dual 28ga parallel micro coils (10 wraps, reading .5 ohms installed) in my RDA. This gives me the same surface area as the 2.0 ohm coils I was using but only half the voltage requirement (3.5-3.8 volts) at 25-30 watts. Resulting in the same warm, dense and flavorful vape while not using up the battery as fast. In my previous attempts with low ohm coils, I didn't have enough surface area on the tiny coils to produce good vapor at 25-30 watts. Making the coils parallel cures that problem.

666 to 715 in a week... roughly 10/day... means I'm about 4 weeks from shipment.... *sigh*

Seems to have ticked up lately - probably due to this thread

I'm #888 placed on 27-June, expecting early August.
Did notice yesterday their lead times have improved:
Current estimated lead time for XPV orders 20-25 business days from payment.
See the FAQ for details on how the lead time works.

Went to the site and had a look at the foot add on. Nice idea but seems to me that it'll get in the way with putting it in a pocket. I have something to set it in on the desk. And for those waiting on your XPV. I'll just repeat hang in there you will not be disappointed.

Thanks for the encouragement. I knew it would take time when I ordered mine. It does look like production has been ramping up especially if they felt they would be caught up by weeks end and lowered wait time. I believe I may have one near the end of the month.
