Does anybody have or know of a picture detailing the positive harness connection? Looking at replacing mine,not worth shipping to the UK for me, so I will use a decent 18650 and solder the old harness on. I am guessing with a bit of cleaning up that the neg end of the new battery will take to soldering fairly well, but I am a bit sceptical of it taking a good hold on the positive end due to it being like a polished plated finish.
A very good reply,I know it aint too much of a prob to take apart but the less I pull them soldered joints about the better I would feel, so a picture would have been a bit easier.

Just took a look at it. Dang it. I'm not ready for another one but gloss black looks sweet.
It's been a while since someone posted shipping news an I got an email from the USPS saying a package from protovape was shipping today. No mail from Protovape but the only order I have with them is #793 for a black XPV. I guess it is time to start camping in my mailbox.
Thanks for the update. I was just thinking no one had posted any shipping notices or receipts for awhile. I'm 853 and hoping mine might ship next week or the first of the week after which would be right in line with lead time.
I'm order# 815, and hoping for next week shipment two. I've made two changes to my order during the wait process, which might have delayed it some.
1) A couple of weeks ago, opted to wait for the new boxes to come in (instead of the extra spacer used to compensate for the new [better] connections), and
2) Just this week, after seeing the new blog saying that silver boxes would no longer be available for a longer box option, I totally changed my order request's specs. Changed from silver with grey trim to the new (SLICK) glossy black with black trim. (I originally wanted black any ways, but they were out when I made my order on June 5th).
Their customer service is AWESOME. They responded back right away, saying no problem on the change!!
I had already ordered & received grey foot pads, but had to reorder for the new black color now.
I can't wait! Will let you guys know once I get a shipping notice for my order.

hey XPVers, long time since I posted, but I have a question.
Haven't had any problems with my XPV since March until recently.
Long story short, I got a Russian 91% clone from FT and it is shorting my XPV battery if I screw it down on the XPV. I'm very familiar with RBAs and haven't had this problem up until now. It might be since the R91's center pin sticks out half a mm from the 510 connector, but I still can't screw it down completely without causing the battery to shut off. This causes the atty to be wobbly and unstable, which I hate.
Protovapor is allowing me to send it back and get some maintenance done on it (the LED indicator also fell out), but I'm not going to do that for another few weeks.
Anyone have any troubles with certain attys shorting your XPV?

^ I'm beginning to possibly consider that the type of finish on the atty (PVD) touching the screws on top might be shorting it...but that couldn't happen, right? Grrrrrr.
Not sure about that. But looks like you have the old 510. If you have to send it in I'd see if the new 510 could be added. I'd think you could test if making contact with the screws is the problem. Just cover the screws with something and see if it still happens.

They did mention about swapping it out; boy does yours look a lot nicer than mine. Wish I would have known about this before waiting this long.

Like your XPV. five pawns isn't my kind of juice. I know a lot of people like it. I prefer Heather's Heavenly Vapes. Truth is it's the only juice I've used for about a year now.
Thanks David,yup juice is subjective,but then again so is all of the hardware.Would not be good if we were all using the same stuff.Well this is my first taste of the Grand Master and was a little treat as I am celebrating a year exactly when I had my heart attack.It certainly is not what I would usualy spend out on a liquid every week.I quite like it but will try it in an RDA once this tank is empty, not an ADV for me but nice to have in the evening perhaps.I can then hopefully make it last a little longer

on the year. Glad your doing well. I agree on the taste. My local B/M has some FP and some other names. They're good juices just not what I like. I'm one of those people that doesn't change flavor a lot and I only have 6 or so flavors that I use. That may change at some point but that's how it is for now. I did introduce them to HHV and they now carry it.On the DNA front I just came across this.

Got my shipping notice email today! Order # 815 (made June 5th, with an estimated 27 - 32 day processing time0. Came in right at 32 days! Being sent via 3-day Priority USPS, so should have on the weekend. Can't wait! Will update when received....
If that holds I should get a shipping notice next Monday for order # 853 which would be right at 30 business days. Lead time was 25 - 30 business days when I ordered 7/13.
