I have beauty rings coming with a 2.5 I bought in the Classies, but won't be using it if it is only for esthetics and not attached.

When I had 2.5's, I did use the beauty ring. I never lost it. It's just an aesthetic thing. For some the taper up to the tank looks odd and the beauty ring solves that. If it does'na bother you, that's just fine.
I offered the girls some lobster when I had a 4.5 pounder for Christmas. They weren't interested, which was just fine with me. More for moi, I say! More for moi!!

I'd go out for "All You Can Eat crab legs" and bring some home for the kitties. They wanted nothing to do with it. Odd cats. But I'm guessing if they caught it they'd eat it. They probably think we wreck it by cooking it. Try giving it to them raw and see if it makes a difference. I'm sure there is a spare appendage on those lobsters you can do without.
Just sauteing tails in the pasta, so the girls will just go without. And yes, maybe cooking the lobster ruined it for them.
