Thanks again!

I am pretty sure I found the problem. :)

It turns out that the poly middle section of my KFL+ has rough edges on both ends and really doesn't seem to sit fully flush and completely right with the two SS sections. I was also filling it to the rim and had too much wicking material.

I reverted back to the steel middle section, shortened the wick legs and only filled with about 3.5ml of juice.

Only used it like this for 30 min, but so far not a drop. I think the poly section is a bit wonky and compromising the vacuum. The o-rings look good on that section and everywhere else, so that is all i can think of.

I will keep my eye on it, but I bet it was the poly section coupled with overfilling.

these should work ... or shoot me a PM and I'll send you a couple.

Thanks for the reply. Very helpful. It didn't leak out completely, but a good millilitre for sure.

I am filling it from the bottom port - good?
I am definitely overfilling it - bad?
I wicked it with cotton with tails wrapped a bit around the deck - bad?

I am assuming 3.0-3.5ml in an empty tank and the wicking material just touching the base is the right answer to my issues?

P.s. I am not a newbie when it comes to rebuilding and using RTAs. I have a bunch of them that I use almost daily. My problems so far have stemmed from the amazing amount of conflicting info on the web regarding how to wick and fill a KFL+. You, RB and WillyZ have been more helpful than 99% of the crap on YouTube and other forums/review sites.
When filling a Kayfun Lite + (or, Russian 91% or any other similar RTA) hold the tank upsidedown at a 45° angle with the fill port on top. Then proceed to fill the tank and watch the liquid through the clear center section. When the liquid goes past that clear section STOP! Replace the fill port screw and vape!

All of these Kayfun RTA's and other similar tanks work on a vacuum principle as that is the only thing preventing the liquid from seeping out of the air hole at the bottom. So it is imperative that when assembling your tank to inspect your o-rings or gaskets to make sure they are providing a good seal and not allowing air into the tank. Also if you take your device apart an reassemble it on a regular basis, it would be best to replace your o-rings periodically as well. I let mine go at most 3 months before changing the o-rings in my Kayfuns and Russian 91%'s.

Morning all. :)
I've been a long time ProVari user, since early in 2013, I've only ever used the 2.5 mini's.
I did however venture out of my comfort zone  and I purchased a 2.5V with the upgraded P3 top. (Yes, I know, way to be daring...)

My question is, do I still use the button top batteries?

I opened a ticket at ProVape, but thought I'd ask here too.

I'm sure the info is somewhere in the 29 pages, I'm headed back to read, but just in case...

Thanks in advance for your help!! :)

Sorry not going to read 29 pages, can i send in my 2.5 when my procyon gets here to have them replace my top cap with the p3 version? Oh and if so how much to get it done?

I don't remember seeing that, but hopefully someone will come along before you get through all the pages. :)
I only went back to read because I had the time today, and I was waiting to see if someone came by, but I found the answer first.

I'm on ProVape's site looking now to see if that's listed. ;)

If this is what you have, I think you already have that version.
ProVari Procyon - Stealth Edition
From their site...4th bullet down if you select the "technical specs" tab.
"The new Procyon thread is a unique top connection which allows you to adapt multiple tanks including 510, Ego and P3 threaded tanks. As new connections become available, the Procyon will be able to adapt with screw-in adapters. Ego style adapters will be sold separately. As new tanks are developed with the P3 thread, they will adapt for a clean hybrid look."

Yes, It has been done by other members.

I seem to recall the cost being about 20 bucks.

Best to open a call for service with ProVape to know for sure.

Or... you can go this route.

Provari Connector Upgrade

I did, twice. Well actually three times. Zen called me about one of them because it was so rare and in mint shape, he advised against it as being a collector's item but would if I really wanted him to. All of mine were V2's, btw.

I hear that but why do this over going to provape for the service? Just trying to understand the benefits.
