To my eye, it looks more of a brass color than gold and is of course, a fingerprint magnet. It's also a favorite, and I'm very happy with it :)

Honestly, in the real, it doesn't have either a gold or brass "look" but is close to both I guess. Similar to the way "gunmetal" leans toward a brown look to my eye. Just slightly off/different. It has a Zencote patina and sheen all its own and is definitely a nice bit of bling.

As shipped, the Procyon is slightly longer than a P3 configured 18650. Why? ... because of the thicker "High Performance" battery cap the Procyon ships with

If you were to use a P3 battery cap on the Procyon (which I have done from time to time), the Procyon will be slightly shorter than a P3 configured 18650. Either way, the length differences aren't much and you get up to 2.5 times the power output in the Procyon (50W) over the P3 (20W)

Thanks a lot for the reply! Couldn't find a better comparison!

I think the Radius is the most versatile in spite of AND because of using only one size battery, the 18650.
- It fits the palm well and feels more secure in the hand during casual use, than tube mods.
- The footprint is exactly double the size of a tube mod and therefore more stable when resting.
- The additional buttons make changing settings on the fly much easier than adjusting tube mods.
- The Radius is the only Provari with built-in USB charge port.
- The Radius is the only Provari with temp control and available for both the 40W and 60W as a software update.
- Speaking of update, the Radius is the only Provari that the end user can do a software update on. The tube mods have to be sent back to the mother ship or have an authorized distributor perform the update.
- While using an 18650 exclusively, it is much shorter than any 18650 configured tube mod and most times is more stable and secure in a pocket.

All that said, I understand a preference for tube mods. In fact, I use the Provari tube mods more than I do the Radius but absolutely enjoy both.
