UPS is a deal breaker for me and any Canadian citizen interested in ordering a Gem should be aware that the duty, brokerage and handling fees on a single Gem would likely be an additional $100-ish with UPS. I personally won't buy anything from outside of Canada if UPS is the only shipping option. Don't care how good a deal it is as I have been ripped off too many times in the past. USPS (ideally) or Fedex only for me based on numerous past shipping experiences.
been ordering online from US for at least 10 years now, I must say being on the other side of the border is not very UPS friendly, they are good for within country shipments, I use them from Amazon.ca, cross border is just way too not worth it. besides the ridiculous charges they fork you out. I have had many re-shipped packages all damaged by them.
If you can get the seller to use USPS, that is probably the best economic way to ship it to Canada.
Absolutely agree. Inside Canada is great for UPS.
Also, I have sold a few very expensive musical instruments into the U.S. and always drive across the border and ship in the USA via UPS. Best courier company for packaging and insuring high end stuff IME.
Just learned my lesson having stuff shipped into Canada from the U.S.

I'm REALLY digging Foo's though, very unique take on a tobacco vape.
