got my provari in 2 days ago. i noticed that the button has a lot of play/wiggle with it. and if i move it up/down (not in and out when firing) i can get to to click when it shouldn't. is this normal for all provaris?

Hard to say how much wiggle you're experiencing, but on the two brand new ones I have I have very little wiggle on the buttons, but when I push it up I do hear a faint clicking noise. But the button doesn't really move that much at all. On the older provari I have, the button is fairly loose from use.

Yea they use a modulated signal/voltage. The advantage it doing that is you can carry higher current over a smaller wire. AC will carry further over smaller wire than DC. They just picked a Frequency close to/in the audio spectrum. So yo are hearing that signal or a harmonic of it. Not that unusual. Wish I still had access to a sillyscope I'd love to see what it looks like.
Damn I envy you folks that can hear that good. LOL
