Wow. Called several B&M in my area and can't believe what they want for provaris. I mean, a kit for $279? I understand that they gotta pay rent, but a 30% markup?

For lower end devices I can imagine a markup would catch a complete newbie who does no research beforehand. But I would think *most* folks in the market for a Provari would know this is insane. I just don't see how they manage to sell any!!!

When I asked one sales person, they simply said "its expensive, and is no better than any of the other devices we sell". So not only high prices, but they are even talking it down!!!

Don't know where you are at but mine was not too bad. The kit mine offered was not so hot. It was a trust fire charger and one battery. That was not going to cut it so I just pieced it together got 2 batteries and a nitecore charger and it was 261 and my provari is blue. They sell all the colors for the same price so did not see the point in getting the silver cause I was not going to save any money going that route.

I agree, buying directly from Provape is the thriftiest & wisest decision. However, there are those customers who are not comfortable purchasing anything online and prefer to deal face-to-face with real people regardless of the extra cost. If they are willing to pay the markup in price for this, who is to judge them on that. It's their money, not yours.

One of my local vape shops told me they don't like Provaris so won't carry them, the other has them and marks them up $20.

The one that won't carry them didn't know what my REOS were. The other one high fived me when I walked in with my first one. LOL

Guess which shop I prefer?

In the big picture 10% is really not all that much. If you really want it I would just go buy it. That is just me. My store does a rewards program so in the end I got a lot of other things too. About another 60 of stuff. So it was a nice bonus. It was worth it to me to get it when I wanted it. Next is to get the extension cap and one bigger battery for being out all day and some pt 2's.

My local vape shop sells alot of cool stuff...The regular fare and many high end Mechs and mods and Pipes (Its the E-pipemod storfront) called SteamCigs. Ive been in there quite often and I have overheard a customer once ask about a ProVari. The guy behind the counter gave the man ProVapes email address and told him how good they were.

If your gonna frequent a B&M..... thats the kind of place that will get my repeat buisness.

( I did not show the customer my Provari as I thought that would be a bit tacky and of poor taste )

I went to my local B&M store on Friday and picked up my first provari with extension tube for the exact same price as they sell them at provape, it came with a one year warranty and I have 1 week to call provape and add another year for $24 I believe it is.
The B&M is the only store in Michigan that carries provari's. They also carry a few other high end rebuildables that are not marked up at all! It's very nice!!!

I went to a store in Houston Called Create and they were only 5 more dollars than the web site. They had all colors and I walked out with a black mini
That is the store I went to and got my blue one. I see your in deer park. You ought to try out vapor sense in Nassau Bay. Found them on provapes site. Smaller place but really nice people.

Tough one. i dont have much appreciation for PVs FB 10%- off-its really nothing.
I do think 10% mark up for local B&M is reasonable- depending on S&H, etc..
Admittedly I once sleuthed down a B&M while travelling for ProVari- caught without reliable PV, at that moment
I was willing to pay a mark up. Life's funny. HArd to say what works for everyone.
That said, if (like Baditude said) you need service, accesories, etc- ProVapes competitive and having an account there
would come in handy.
As for B&M dising the ProVari- to me, thats the bread and butter that pays the bills.
They'll make more money selling a product needing replacement every 2-3 months, than one
which never needs replacement, right?
Impulse buying is HUGE...so many are going for the prettiest, flashiest, girly PV.
Others are the tinker(s) that want something they can play with, take apart, modify, rebuild, etc..
Bread and Butter- thats' where its at for the retail industry!
All the Best, Hope you get all the ProVari's you need to feel happy.
Happy Holidays.
