You can add drops through the threaded end of the carto to wet the coil area. It is possible to have a carto wet at the top and dry at the bottom. For some reason, some cartos are going through manufacturing QC issues that affect the wicking of the filler material. It's mostly Boges, but you have to wonder who is the prime manufacturer and which companies source their cartos through a Boge assembly point.

I like to use the condom method to fill my cartos and let them sit in the condom for at least 30 minutes to assure saturation.

Everyone that uses cartomizers has their own preference on how to fill them. A couple of people here have already mentioned the condom method. I'm more impatient, I fill from the top using a wooden toothpic in the airhole to keep juice out of there. I fill until the polyfill material looks like a wet slushy drink, then remove the toothpic from the air hole. The whole process takes perhaps 4-5 minutes and is ready to vape or put into a carto tank.

For a carto tank, as mentioned before I recommend the IBTanked pyrex cartotanks. The 19mm tank is the perfect diameter for a Provari. The standard length uses a 35mm carto such as the Boge, the XL length tank uses the longer 45mm cartos. Prepunched cartos and drip tips are sold on the IBTanked website. IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us!

I did a review of the IBTanks here, which includes several pics on a Provari. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tank-reviews/349222-ibtanked-pyrex-glass-tanks.html

I like the following video demo because it demonstrates both how to fill a prepunched carto and how to fill a tank properly:

Hi shantyadon, welcome to ECF! The condom method can work well, but there is a caveat. Remember to remove the .... plug that many cartos use (yes, those are common terms here). If you don't, that plugs the hole in the bottom threads. Instead of forcing it up through the air hole, all of it leaks out on your hands.

Looks like your off to a good start. I'd go to madvapes.com and get the carto hole puncher for 5 bucks. I use the ibtankes on my silver bullet and just got the DC cartos for tanks from madvapes as well ( single coil 1.7 ohms prepunched single hole ) . I usually punch a hole or two in it myself depending on how thick of a juice I'm using. But if your using a juice around 50/50 two Holes will work perfectly. Hope this helps. And for s juice recommendation.... everyone likes different things . But two of my favorites are from heathers heavenly vapes . They are called gandolf and dragons fire . Both are sweet flavored tobaccos . Get them in 50pg/50vg and you should be in heaven with that provari and tank set up. Hope this helps. Any other questions you can pm me. Always down to help a fellow vaper ! Vape on!

Thanks.. is there a howto video to set this all up?

Yeah shanty. Pretty much tell google what you want to do and you'll find plenty of vids.

And don't worry if you find vaping methods and/or devices hard to like at first. The truest advice I can give you from my mere 6 months of personal experience is you don't usually immediately love a carto/tank/clearo especially at the beginning.

I started with cartos on a cig-like battery, then switched to clearos when I got my ego-c twist (stardust), found something I liked more in the Kanger T2, then the T3. I JUST got a provari mini after 5 and a half months of vaping and I'm back to cartos and loving it, letting go of clearos, switching between mini vivi novas and carto tanks... it's been a ride. But I've enjoyed it, actually, just patiently (key word: patiently) feel things out. I haven't tried dripping atomizers cause they sound like a pain and somewhat impractical... until I get bored one day and buy one and hate it then pick it up again in a month and love it.

You'll find your sweet spot, just keep the juice flowin'.
