Hello everyone.

I have been vaping for a long time in the past. But i quit for about a year and recently i picked it up again. I ordered myself a pro tank and was looking forward to using it on my provari. Stupid as i sometimes can be i washed my provari under water a week earlier. Well now that i was trying to turn it on it is completely dead. No lights, nothing.

I was thinking maybe some dirt is stuck on the circuit so i just filled the whole thing up with paint remover and let it run through and let it dry.

Any ideas people? And if it remains dead, what is the best mod around right now?

Thanks ;)

A year later and yes, Provari is still the best, so follow the lead and send it to Provape for repairs if it doesn't breath again on it's own hehe. Welcome back to the vaping world:vapor:

If you already tried to turn it on the damage is done. The rice or drying out method only really works BEFORE trying to turn it on. Once you attempt to turn it on and pass electricity through the circuit if it doesn't turn on it needs to be sent back for repairs.

It's only really a last ditch effort at trying to get all the crud and/or moisture off the electrical board and then passing electricity through it to see if it fixes it, it if doesn't turn on the electricity you just passed through the internals would for sure fry the internals.

My suggestion would be NEVER submerging it into um.. ANYTHING.

Yeah, but the ISO is used to dry out the water after you have a water ACCIDENT with it. So it's the remedy, not the problem/goal....

P.S. I think it's the manufacturer's recommended solution.

99% alcohol is best but 91% will work. It IS what the manufacturer suggests. I know, I've had to do it after juice from a leaky Nova get inside by way of the power button overnight. This was suggested DIRECTLY from Provape. It is also good practice to do once in a while to clean up things inside. Just make sure it has time to thoroughly dry overnight before using it again. I would go 9 - 10 hours just to make sure.

???? Did you really do this, submerge something that has electronics in water and paint thinner? Really? I'm sorry but that just really blows my mind. Please don't take this wrong but common sense dictates that is just very very wrong. I really am sorry that your Provari is dead but I think that you have learned a very valuable lesson about what not to do. Maybe try something a bit less expensive till you get the hang of electronic cigarette use.

I feel really bad for you, I know what it feels like to be without a PV.

I am sorry, I wasn't trying to be mean at all and I truly am sorry that your Provari is dead, please take everyone's suggestion and send it to ProVape and let them fix it for you, maybe it's not a total loss. I think that your original post just really took me by surprise but I promise I wasn't trying to be mean, I'm not that way at all! I hope that everything turns out okay for you. :)
