I've been eyeing a purple mini since they came out. The price tag is keeping me from jumping in and buying the Provari (only have eGo experience). $180 is nearly acceptable but when I add 3 batteries, a charger, and a blue LED the price jumps up to about $240. I just can't justify spending this amount....

Obviously I can't get the LED screen elsewhere, but what about the batteries and charger? Can I save any money by buying these from a different site? I've been looking around on amazon, madvapes, and some battery sites and it seems I can get the batteries & charger for cheaper but I don't want to buy the wrong thing. Can anyone advise?

Yes, you can get them other places less expensively. To make sure you get the right one, look at what Provape is selling and buy the exact size and maker they recommend for the unit you are purchasing so your warranty will be honored in the unlikely event that something does go wrong with it.

ETA: make sure you factor in shipping. Since you are already paying for Provape to send the mini, it may just end up being less to pay the 50 cents or so more that they charge for the battery.

I know what you mean. I just bought a ProVari. I've been using battery mods for a while but my old Trustfire charger isn't trustworthy any more. I bought batteries from Super T Manufacturing. Well known for good prices on batteries (shipping included). They also carry the XTAR charger. The WP2 is held in good regard in most circles and will be worlds better than the single slot that ProVape sells. Sweet Vapes had the best price on the charger, but if buying batteries too it would probably be a draw with Super T.

Enjoy your ProVape!

Thanks for all the replies.

So it's important to have AW but not necessarily IMR? Does anyone have links (feel free to PM them to me if you don't want to post here).

What kind of charger can I use with the batteries that Provape sells? I especially don't want to pay $16 for a charger that only chargers one battery at a time. As long as the charger is compatible with 18350 it's okay?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, but since trying to learn about the Provari I feel like a noob all over again.

RTD Vapor is also a reliable vendor for your genuine battery and charger needs.

I recommend the Xtar XP2 or the Pila if you can afford it; they may just prolong the life of your batteries in addition to faster charging times. Battery Chargers
I have the Pila and am SO happy with it. I can't prove it and only time will tell, but I firmly believe the charging algorhythms the above chargers use are faster and safer for these batteries, and may prolong overall battery life.

If you are getting batteries for the Provari's, you need to get IMR's. They are designed for the higher drains that a variable voltage device demands. Genuine AW Batteries at RTD vapor

+1,000,000 to that. AW IMR is the way to go, most reliable and longest lasting. Not to mention the safest too. I have also heard good things about the Xtar chargers. You should have a multi meter as well and get in the habit of checking the batteries when they come off the charger to be sure they are not being over charged. Not above 4.2 volts. They should also never be run down below 3.5 volts.
