Very nice, Merry Early Christmas! I take it by the paper towel that gold is as much a finger print magnet as stainless steel.

Yes finger prints are a problem but even wiping it is a pleasure .

Awesome. Just need a better tank to go with it.

Yes a tank that works with the provari better than the one on it now for display would be good . The Smoktech one on it actually does not work well on any provari it works much better on an ego or Joytech tube mod . Suggestions that do work nicely on a provari ?

A lavatank or evolution tank work and look great on the provari since they sit flush on the top with no gap. The SS cartomator looks great on the vari . Theres a Provari tank thread here in the subforum showing pics of all different kinds of tanks. A gold tank would be nice but i dont know of any.

If by 'work' you mean 'fits flush and looks great' then I agree. If you mean 'performs in a satisfactory manner' then I would disagree. I use both smoktek and phiniacs, and though I went through a spate of bad cartos, I am overall satisfied with the system.

I think that the tank I was using didn't seem to perform well but then I realized that the carts were LR and actually setting the provari alot lower like about 2.9 volts for a 1.6 ohm carto works better . For a cheap aluminium endcap tank it does work . I have some cartos that are higher res now so I will try them when I get a chance . It does not sit flush because I have a 510 to ego adaptor on it and a collor to cover the threads . An adaptor on any ecig I find allows more air in which in most cases helps the air flow .

I have several Provaris. full size with extension caps. Most of them wear Smoktech large tanks which are just a hair wider than the top connector, on those the carto screws directly into the connector on the Provari. No adapter necessary I get plenty of draw.

I use some of the sandblasted clear Phiniac tallboys on them as well, even though they are a tad wider than the top plate on the Provari is. Carto screws directly into the top connector on the Provari. No adapter necessary there as well.

All my tanks use dcc LR cartos in them and I vape most of my juices between 4.2 and 4.6 which seems to be the 'sweet spot' for them. As they are mass produced they will vary in usability. I got a bunch with the air holes drilled down at the very edge of the threading, some into the threading. No adapter can fix that problem.

I DIY so all my juices are taste tested for that range as well.

YMMV

I use the 5ml Smoktech tank and Lr cartos that meter at about 1.6 ohms I can't reach 4.6 volts without an error not that I want to because of the LR I use 3 to 3.2 volts . I tighten a 510 to ego adaptor on it so I can use what ever I feel like using without have to put the adaptor on later . I do use the collar on it though when using a tank .
