I think it's more with the threads in the cartos. You can wiggle the cartos a bit on all my mods

all but one of my pv's has the same results, that one, has no connector, nothing to attach as it's a rebuildable atty hybrid pv.....almost all the el cheapo chinese atty's and carto's i had/have wiggle a bit in the connector regardless how tight they are...

Hmm, perhaps it has to do with the fact that it's a dcc. 2.5 ohm dual at 5.5 volts is 12.1 watts split (so 6 watts each). Two small burners going. However, take a scc at 3.0 at 4.6v and your at 7 watts (larger burner, so maybe 7 watts would be more akin to your double 6, not really sure, either way it should highlight). 12 watts is burning through your battery about twice as fast as ppl using theirs at 6-8 watts on a single coil carto.

Just a thought, maybe I'm wrong (someone clarify if I got this all messed up).

No, you got it right. That's what's killing her batteries so quickly: running at 12.1 watts. DCCs are silly on a VV device like the Provari, IMO.

Congrats, Meems! :)
Get some Boge 3.0s and don't look back.

Okay professional Provari Mini members, i just saw these on craigs list, the guys about 45 minutes away, so can you look at this and tell me if these are what i need? i havent seen these worded like this before, so just want to be sure before i drive for 45 minutes, i'm thinking the 3.0hm xl and l ones'. I"m also hoping the guy knows how to punch em, if not i have a hammer and nail, i practiced on a dead carty last nite, and i sucked. I didnt use a vice grip, so it just kept shooting off the table'...

"510 single vertical coil cartomizers(1.5ohm, 1.7ohm, 2.0ohm, 2.5ohm, 3.0ohm) X, XL = $1.50"

he also said: "I do have some 1.7 single coil punched with bottom flanges for tanks as well"

Meeems, you might have more luck with a saddle valve punch tool. They're like $7 at a hardware store and look like a pretty simple way to punch cartos. I haven't grabbed one yet but I'm planning on doing so and using it to punch my boges. Also, I'd recommend going with the regular resistance (3 ohm) cartos, as you should get the best battery life out of them. You can use the ohm's law calculator to see that you'll get the same amount of watts with less current draw on a standard resistance carto, as opposed to a LR.

Example, I usually use 5v on a 3 ohm carto for 8.33 watts which comes out to 1.6A current. To get the same vape (watts are what's important here) with a 1.7 ohm carto, you would use a voltage of 3.8 volts which comes out to 2.23A. As I understand it, the more current you're drawing, the faster your battery will die. Hopefully this helps, and if I'm incorrect on anything hopefully one of the more knowledgeable members can correct me!

Alright Meems. I just started punching my own carto's and got tanks down perfect. For me- I spent 40.00$ on an exact carto punch tool by COV (clouds of vapor). Trust me I thought it was way to expensive, but trust me it's so easy, you can set the tool to the same measurement and punch to the exact spot on every carto. Also, if your looking for a beginners 510 tank, buy the liquidator from vaporesance.com for 30$. I can make a easy video just for you to show you exactly what to do. And buy SS ( stainless steel Boge cartomizers. You can get a great price on bulk from vaporgod.com. I'll leave all these urls for you. If you want a nicer, more advanced tank I'd go for big daddy's vapors whos your daddy tank. Here are the links.

COV Carto Punch tool (extremely worth it!)
http://www.cloudsofvapor.com/store/127-new-at-cov/1023-cov-carto-punch-v2.html

Beginners liquidator tank (aluminum and alot of different colors)-
Vape-O-Matic Liquinator Anodized AL 3mL

Boge SS carto's-
Boge (Stainless) 510 3.0 Cartomizer 5 Pack With FREE 5ml Bottle Of Eliquid

ALSO, try and stay away from dual coil tanks, the Provari mini doesn't have big batteries and dual coils will kill the battery faster.

If you want an advanced tank go to www.bigdaddyvapor.com

I hated my saddle valve. Love my VIP one. The saddle valve punches go dull after about 20 cartos. Then you have to resharpen it of get a new one. I think long term, the good punches pay for themselves. You don't waste cartos and/or juice.

Hey Str8, looking at your daily vapes under your ms t's sugar cookie banner...curious why you didnt name yourself 'Cookie Monster' in here... sounds more appropriate for you.

Meems

I use a drill press and a 5/16" i think bit to drill my cartos . Works great every time and takes a second. I would think for the price of those expensive punches you could buy a mini drill pres for the same price plus get other uses out of it too.

Btw got my mini with blue display today .yay. Its nice . Feels great in my hand just like the reg vari . Only have two little negatives . My regular vari has a smooth like glass button and the mini has a rough textured diffused button. I like the old button much better and presses smoother. Also the extension cap is a different texture then the body . The ext cap is more smooth, shiney and slightly more bronze then compared to the satin on the body. I noticed this in others pics but they said it was just the pic however now i know its not the pic .Being a auto painter i can see this happening and one reason why we spray full cars with some finishes and not panels . If the ext caps were done while on the body it wouldnt have that issue. Last is the blue display is not very bright compared to the red but i can deal with that as the blue is awesome . Everything else is great and im loving the mini overall. Maybe ill polish it out to fit the color issue. Love the new tear drop design.
