Maybe a little bit. :) But honestly, if something goes wrong, they'll fix it. It might not be free, but I'm pretty sure Provape wouldn't bend me over for it.

Haha true that! Did you remove the circuits or or just taped over where any paint can get through? And what kind of paint did you use? Spray paint? I love how you kept the teer drops silver

I pushed out the top cap. It's press fit, but not too bad. Then I taped over the holes where the button and display were and sprayed it.

When you pop out the top piece, say I go to do it on my Provari v1, is they're any wires connected to the top piece that I have to worry about?

on some of them. You need to work it. Whey the top popped off, the board came with it. I was a bit nervous, but it was easier than I thought

Yea I have a guy that does custom car body/paint work at his own shop, I'm going to bring it there tomorrow to see if he could hook me up.. I'm going to try and keep the tear drops silver. I want a dark green with like a light powder coated green on top. He can prob do it without taking the top off. Thanks for the idea bud! Why wait- why buy ANOTHER one- why buy one alot of people are going to have? Go custom baby! Thanks!!!

I opened the box from Provape, made sure it fired up, took it apart and painted it. lol
No prep or anything.

Bad news cba. I just went to my custom body/paint shop. They said that those cans are crap that you buy at auto-zone and will end up eventually start to peel off or fade away-fast. Everyone on this forum, don't try and do this. Everyone's "ancey" to get a different color mini, don't pop the top off or paint the body you will just end up with a voided warranty and a weak paint job, and for the people who don't care about it peeling off or fading, your just going to have to keep doing it over and over until eventually you mess up and break it. Sorry cba, don't want everyone to get screwed. But yours is sick looking, and the most unique. You got the skills, the confidence to pop the top of to void the warranty, and to re-paint it every now and then. I'm not insulting you, I'm just saying not alot of people are going to be able to just do this like you did. Yours is sick, and seriously no offense on you. Just caring for others who might get it on their mind That they can do it. And it won't come out as sick looking as yours. So everyone think before you jump, pack your reserve parachute canopy every 3 months by a licensed rigger, and just enjoy the wait flying around in the sky until the black mini comes out :)

can you take more pics? same pic but on the button side instead of the display side? and take close up pics of the button, and digital display?

I really want to get my Mini done up like that, but I just CAN'T PART WITH IT long enough to have it done! What's a vaper to do?!

every vapor should have their go-to mod, and not one but two fail safes! even just keeping the ego's 14$ 1,000 mah battery is a back up. it fits 510 boges, and you can slap a tank on it. i have my go to- my p-min, than i have the p-biggie, than i have an AA box, Ego batteries, and an old greensmoke analog kit with 2 very old-but working batteries and one un-opend carto left.

I do have backups, my two kGo's and then my 2 eGo's... but going back to those after using the higher voltage on my Provari would be less satisfying... sure it's doable, but I think I would rather keep the Provari Mini on hand than part with it for a week or more to change the color :p

Paint shops will say anything not done by them is crap. It's their job. If people want to do it, they can. It's not hard. If someone wants to take the initiative and do it, it's entirely their call. It's not like I'm suggesting that they go out and do touch-ups on a Picasso. It's a PV. PVs were meant to be modded. :)

Yea I know your not really telling people to, but some people might take it as you know, easy and fun. But the truth is- theyre's no easy way of getting it done right. You would have to sand down the coating of it, even on a chrome one. Then you would have to prime it then paint it. If anyone attempts to just go out and do this post some pics. Cba- can you let is know if it starts to fade, peel or just turned to.. You know, like crap down the line, can you let us know? You got mad talent, looks crazy good though dude!

Im really interested now because someone told me they got there provari within the same hour as me and it has a smooth button. If you have a mini post what button you have?

Got my mini yesturday, the button is smooth with no tool marks. Out of the box the button was sticking, but I guess it just was not seated properly because within a minute of fiddling it seemed to snap into place and has been flawless ever since.

This is my first Provari, I am pretty happy with it so far.

I know I'm not telling anyone to do it, but you do need to go into it with the knowledge that you can possibly ruin it. I'm pretty sure it will look good longer than the black chrome does. :)

Ahhh true that my reg. V1 chrome p-biggie got scratched up pretty easy, but the satin finish on my p-mini is holding up way better. Already started putting 50$ to the side off every paycheck to grab the black mini with a green led. I just really want a black mod. They look so much better w/ everything. Tanks, carto's. Atty's ect. Plus a green led? Favorite color. Wouldn't be able to say no to it. If they don't come out with it in a green LED I'm just going to take my time and not just jump on it at 3am again and just wait a couple months after.
