a better way would be to powder coat it if you really must change the look. There are powercoating kits that you can do at home. Extremely durable and a fantastic finish every time. This technique should never come off if prepped right. chances are it's what provari did to get the awesome durable finish on their provaris in the first place.

Yea I know your not really telling people to, but some people might take it as you know, easy and fun. But the truth is- theyre's no easy way of getting it done right. You would have to sand down the coating of it, even on a chrome one. Then you would have to prime it then paint it. If anyone attempts to just go out and do this post some pics. Cba- can you let is know if it starts to fade, peel or just turned to.. You know, like crap down the line, can you let us know? You got mad talent, looks crazy good though dude!

Yea I went to my custom auto/custom body shop, said best way is to powder coat it using a paint air-brush. Then I went to a gold plater, said it would cost about 250$ for top and bottom cap, 4 tank caps and 3 cherry vape SS mings, I walked out going get the hel* out of here. Then went to an air brusher. Said the displays screws would be hard bc it will form a lip. You can use play-do in it, but paint it light. He said to sand the finish off, then do 3 coats. But he'd have to use auto-paint. Would cost around 110$. It's all too expensive to paint the Provari. Not worth it might as well wait for the black satin. This was just my day yesterday, went to 3 different types of customizable paint. Just saving everyone the trouble. For those who want to go for it. Do it up. It's much easier if you just pop the top off, but you'd end up voiding the warranty.

Powdercoating is not paint . Its spraying electrically charged powder on to a part .The powder sticks to the part because of the electric charge .Then the part is put in a oven the cure where the powder becomes solid. Yes provaris's have always been powdercoated .The new satin black is a ceramic coat and the gold Provari is gold plated which is another type of coating.

Airbrushing and spraying with a HVLP gun is completly different . Airbrushing uses usually automotive paint (Usually BC/CC ) Since i do automotive paint work i know pricing pretty well and 110.00 is a little on the high side for a small part but is not a out of the world price. I know most shops would be around that price. Usually you can expect 75.00 - 120.00 depending on the shop . Automotive paintwork is not like spraying with a spray can . Automotive paints cost more and involve more steps then a rattle can job.

The Black Mini is scheduled to go into production towards the end of April or early May, but I don't have a release date just yet. Well keep you posted as soon as I know more. :).

Is there going to be a green LED option. A very important piece of information as to me either starting to save up or not. Please get back to me ASAP

Any chances to find someone here that has a Genesis Mini by van and a ProVari Mini?
I really want to see how this combo looks

I just ordered the Provari Mini and I've had the Genesis Mini and the Line for about 5 weeks and haven't even opened the package yet....they scare me. :)

I have a 3 month training program for scary mods. If you send them to me in the unopened package, I will gladly run them through the training course for free. They will be well behaved non-scary mods when I return them. Hope this helps :D

I asked for that, didn't I. :)

If you guys know of one best place to get instructions I'd sure appreciate it. While I was waiting for these to arrive I read so many my head was spinning. But nobody seemed to give good 'beginning to end' instructions. I think that's what I need. I have all the necessary supplies, Kanthal, wire, etc?

You need to lookup igetcha69's videos,he's real thorough and it's easy to do.Just a few minutes and you'll have a new wick and coil.Zen~also has a couple of videos with instructions for the genesis style atty.
A genesis mlnl or line on a provari would be cool.

Lovin my provari mini, yes the little batteries seem to never last long with me, as i've mentioned. But i love the warm draw. I actually use my LavaTube for juices like cold drinks, and ice creams etc. I find that using the provari mini with say, an orange juice drink, just doesnt cut it. A warm vape and oj, nope.. but a coffee drink? tobacco, and other types, game on with the provari!.... i find i reallly need a different mod that vapes cooler for cold, and one for hot. weird i know.

As far as the blue led, and wanting green etc. As soon as I got my Mini, i was like, 'geezus, whats with all the hoopla on different lights, its not like a 'light show' or anything, the button is so small, you barely see the color.
I found that the led color really didnt matter in the least.

and a big hi to all my buddies in here i havent seen for awhile, been awhile since posted.

You know you could just turn down the voltage for a cooler vape. All VV's work the same really ,the provari just doesnt drop voltage under load so you may find 4v on a LT to be the same as 3.7v on a vari. Heat or watts is determined by the voltage you set it at. Its not specific to any device. Ohms law never changes.

I kinda agree with the color . You barely see the fire button light since your fingers over it and display only when in the menu so its not really a big deal. I personally like the red better then blue since red LEDS look more intense to the human eye.

Glad to see your enjoying your vari !

I need some clarification on chargers. But first, my Mini is arriving today around 1:30. Yes! I can't wait! This will be my first Provari.

I have an UltraFire rapid charger for 3.7 Lithium batteries. Is that okay? I don't yet have a Pila charger. I have several AW IMR 18350 batteries to use with my Mini. I've read here that the batts should come off the charger at 4.2V. How do I check that using the Mini? And just in general, is my charger okay or should I buy a Pila charger?

P.S. Do we have to sign for the package or will the postman just put it in the mailbox?
