Hey guys, loving the mini so far! Just wanted to report that the 18350 battery lasted me a lot longer than I thought it would. Probably from about 6PM to 3AM, give or take. I'm really excited about that.. Tomorrow will tell me how long a typical day will last me (at work then home) - I'm really hoping it will last me all day, but I have a feeling I will have to swap for a charged battery, at least when I'm home.
With that said, I had a question about the battery levels. When the 350 comes off the charger, my provari says it's at about 4.0-4.1 volts. SHould it be at 4.2v? Maybe I should get a Pila charger.
Also, the provari light started flashing when the battery was at about 3.6v. Now my question is.. what should the check battery indicator say when it's about dead? I'm curious to know where I'm at when using the check battery function.
I understand the site says (for the 18350 battery) nominal working voltage 3.7v and peak voltage 4.2v. Does this mean that it should be 4.2v off the charger and to swap batteries at 3.7v? Or can the battery go lower than that? I feel like I could've gotten more juice out of the battery when the light started flashing at 3.6v.
Just trying to figure out my battery level when using the check battery function. Almost wish it was a percentage, but no biggie.
One more thing is in regards to the auto-shutoff when taking a drag. Sometimes it shuts off much quicker than other times, like it's not completely consistent. How does that work? I thought it was a 16 second shutoff, but it seems like the longest I can hold it down for is about 5-6 seconds, maybe 7. Once in a while it shuts off after just a second or two, but that's not really as common. That's the only thing that bugs me.. but it's definitely not a huge deal, when the quick shutoff happens I can usually just press it again for a longer drag.
Other than that, still absolutely in love with this thing!
So I'd love to know about the check battery function and what is "almost dead" and what is "full" and to get some light shed on this automatic shutoff.
Thanks!
