So I got my very first Provari and am really enjoying the nice easy vape. I use mainly cargo tanks but have a few clearomizers. What type of adaptor do I need to purchase for the clearomizers to work?

Also, I have one carto tank that when I was using it this morning it began to display an E2 error message but it does still vape. What does the E2 error message mean?

you're going to need a 510-510 adapter for the kanger t2 type clearos to work on your pro vari. here's a link to the owner's manual for the provari that will tell you all the error messages-e2 is amp limitation exceeded, i think...not sure:

congrats on the provari-enjoy. i find that 2.5 to 3.0 ohm cartos in a tank work best...

What type of clearomizers do you have?
If they are "ego" threaded you will need a 510 to ego adaptor.

Clearomizers such as the Kanger Evod and T series use an eGo connector. These would need the 510-eGo adaptor 510 to [eGo] Adapter There are other clearomizers which simply use a normal 510 connection.

It should say in the product or vendor's description what connector the delivery device uses.

What they mean by 'amp limit' is that you were trying to push too high of a voltage through your carto for the resistance. That seems weird though, as even a 1.8 ohm carto (about as low as I see them) won't trigger an E2 even at 6 volts, which you'd never want to vape at anyways. I'm wondering if maybe there's a short in your carto from bad manufacturing that's causing it's resistance to drop really low. In the AO menu which is 13 button clicks, what does it read the ohms at.
