So now that I have the smaller e-cigs working, I've started trying to get the Provari mini to work (I've jumped in with both feet).

This is probably some obvious mistake on my part, but I've read the manual, watched youtube tutorials, read a few threads, and I still can't get it to work.

I've run through all of the user settings, and all of that is working fine. When I run a battery check I get a 4.2 reading (I'm using the batteries that come with the Provari from Provape). When I do this it sounds like it is working. When I test the cartomizer Ohms I get 2.7. I'm using the 510 cartomizers that come from Provape. Likewise, for a few seconds, it sounds like it is working, and I quickly got a little vapor at this point. But when I power up, set it to 4.0 (or anything else), let the light go off, and try to take a puff nothing happens. at all. The cartomizer works fine on the joye 510, so it can't be that. I was careful not to let any liquid leak from the cartomizer (spent a couple of hours making sure it was properly filled).

If anyone can dispel this mystery I would greatly appreciate it.

Hey don't sweat it. LOL I had and Ego Twist 1000 that I sent back for not working then found out about a safety feature to disable the button. Ah the old 5 click ploy. LOL The more complicated the works the more likely for there to be human error. One thing on the Provari is if you vape in short puffs and all of a sudden it gets to be a burnt taste and a big TH then you probably got it into the Voltage UP mode. LOL I did that dry burning an atty. LOL fired it too LOL

Hi all, new member here. Been vaping for about a month, decided to upgrade to a Provari after reading so many great reviews here.

My delimma - got my provari yesterday and enjoyed it last night and this morning. This evening it stopped producing vapor - it powers on, gives no errors. I tried two new cartos, and while they produce a small vapor if i hit the button, they give nothing on draw, but a bad electrical taste. I'm not sure what I've done wrong :(

I figured I'd ask the forum to see if I did something dumb, before I email the people at provape.

You may want to check what voltage your running at. A good rule of thumb is resistance + 2.0v = ~8watts (most popular sweet spot) - e.g. 2.5ohm + 2.0v = 4.5v setting = ~8watts. Adjust up/down to taste.

Thank you all for the great advice!
I adjusted the power setting to 4.9 and then it gave me the E1 error telling me my atomizer was shorted out.
I've put another new one in, and it is vaping again, but when i look at the ohms it went from 1.8 to 3.6, then briefly gave me the e8 error (= Converter has detected a fault – Contact ProVape is this persists.)

it's vaping now, and now showing me me 2.8ohms
