that's what I had in mind. but due to money issue I can only afford 1 between the 2 of them.

I'm from the philippines by the way

provari is worth php12,500 mod only
caravela I think will cost me php15,000 I think

I'm from the Philippines, too, and just today was introduced to the idea of a mechanical vs. the Provari. The authorized distributor of the Provari in the Phils is Vape Joint and sells it cheaper than P12,500. Find them on Facebook. (No affiliation btw, but I'm considering buying one from them, too.)

just new here and I would like to know what I should by for myself this christmas. but I think caravela will take too long for me to have because of the preordering

Depends on what kind of atties you use IMHO. If you are into RBA's, go with the caravela. If you use cartos, clearos, 510/i06/306/etc.. atties, go with the provari. Or just get a provari now, get on the list for the caravela, keep both or sell the provari when you get the caravela.

I thought Vapetime was the only PH authorized dealer? They have a website where you can order. They do overnight shipping.

I think thats the point of the caravela, at least the brass option, is to let it get that antique look, to not polish it. With the nostalgic caravela ship engraved with the tarnished brass makes it look like an old nautical spy glass.

If thats not for you, you can get a polished or brushed SS caravela; or a combination of both SS finishes.

I am on the list for a solid polished SS one and solid polished brass one.

However, the best stuff I have found for polishing brass and other metals is Eagle One Never Dull Wadding Polish. There is absolutely no effort in making something look brand new in minutes; seconds even.

I don't know about that. I wrote provape and they advised me to check their store locator. The distributor on the Philippine map was Vape Joint. It's possible I didn't see all the distributors though.

Does that mean that an RBA & Provari won't work well together?

I definitely agree. If u use any of the RBA, u might have problems using provari. Not to say that it is not compatible, but u will face depressing moment if ur coiling bellow 1 ohm. I would say go for both if u have the budget coz u nvr know when u need a mech mod.

I personally like to vape low ohm coils, that require about 4+ amps. Provari is limited to 3.5. I also didn't have the best of luck with the ZAP and a provari. Lots of error codes. I had to use a thinner gauge wire which I didn't care for. This is all just my take on it however. You don't need VV for RBA's. Just find the gauge wire and ohm that suits you and stick with it. I settled on 1.1 ohm 28awg coils. With a fresh battery at 4.2volts in my Orion, or Gp paps, or any unregulated mod/hybrid for that matter, puts out 3.86amps at 16 watts. Something I could not achieve on the provari because of limits and errors.

Sometimes I like a 0.9 ohm coil. Fresh battery 4.2v = 4.6amps = 19.6 watts. Again, out of the reach of the performance of the provari by far.

Just get a provari. You'll love it. Caravelas are good to take out of the display case, use for a tankful, polish up and return to case. Provaris will take abuse. There are much more choices that are imho better than the caravela AFTER you own a provari.

Why would anyone want to subject their Caravela to a life in a display case? The Caravela will take more abuse than the Provari as there are no electronics to break. I do not plan on putting mine in a case, no way, no how. It is a fully functional mechanical that will see use daily from me! Have you spoken with someone who owns one (or more?) I doubt you will find them keeping it in some case.

Geesh, put it in a case. Whatever for? It is going to be within reach alongside my ProVari.
