Provari problems

My provari mini 2.5 is killing batteries like crazy! 18500 will last about an hour and a half or so and 18350 like 30 minutes.. This is with. 1.5 ohm kayfun authentic. I don't understand the rave about provaris. My provari is the most non dependable mod that I have. Just bought new aw imr batteries to troubleshoot and it still sucks! ...!!

If you are maxed out on vv I would think you would use up that 350 battery pretty fast. BUT if I paid $160 plus for a mod with a year warranty I would contact customer service before I would bring it up on a forum. But everybody is different.

What charger are you using?
Have you cleaned the 510 connector/pin and the positive contact inside the tube and the tube & bottom cap threads lately?
Are you sure you're using authentic AW batteries, lots of rewrapped fakes on the market.

What Elvis said: What charger? Have you tested the voltage of the batteries coming off the charger as well? There are a lot of crappy chargers out there and when they malfunction they can trash batteries in short order.

Sounds like you have a battery problem to me. Batteries only charge a certain amount of times before they need to be replaced.

I run my ProVari with a 1.3 - 1.5 ohm coil with a purple efest 18500 and lasts me a long time even when chain vaping. I use an efest bios 2 intelligent charger I also charge my vtc5's on it and it's great. Might want troubleshoot like everyone is suggesting

Hmm I use an Xtar VP1 charger and AW 18350 batteries from RTD vapors. Have been using same four batteries for a year. Never had your experience. Hope you figure it out.

RTD is the only place I trust to get me authentic AW batteries. My 18650s last me 1.5 days in my Provari. Definitely place a call or email to them for troubleshooting/repair/replacement. They have some of the best customer service around, so I've heard. Never had to contact them so can't say.

Soooo. Definitely clean up:

1) the positive contact inside the tube (it's a circular metal disk-looking thing) with 99% isopropyl alc

2) clean the threads of the end cap and the tube, and reapply a tiny bit of fresh noalox.

Having dirty contacts will kill the battery usable life.

Once when I had super dirty contacts and threads, no matter what batteries I put in em, it registers 3.7 V under the CB menu. Battery life was a couple hours with 18650 aw IMR 2000mah.

Once I cleaned the contacts squeaky clean, bam. 4.2V fresh, and lasts me a full day easily.

18350's last me a couple of hours in any mod with a 2 ohm or lower atty. I haven't used 18500s, but 18650s last me about 6 or 7 hours in my Provari, sometimes 8 with a 1.3 ohm wrap on my Kayfun depending on how heavy I vape.

Buy the 2000mah AW lMR batteries from Provape to ensure you get real ones. Some also swear by the 1600mah AW lMRs. Efest 2200mah lMR batts (black and silver) are also good choices.

Provape will fix it for free the first year. Turnaround is about a week from the time you put it in the mailbox. Email Provape customer service for an RMA number.

Everything comes into play and must be considered in determining if there is actually a problem.
Maybe what is needed is a proper extension and High mah. 18650's.

I have noalox on my threads too. Great stuff. A little goes a long ways.
I know you can buy it everywhere, but I bought the small jar with the brush here. It is handy with the brush. It will last me a long long time.

This seems like one of the 1st Question one would ask when someone posts about Battery Run-Time.

18350 on a 3 ohm is lasting about 24hrs on my Provari. Granted I bought the batteries and charger from Provape with my Provari to make sure everything works together properly.

18490 batteries, 1.8 ohm coil. About 12 hours on a charge. AW IMR batteries from Provape, Intellicharger from RTD. All batteries were new last September..

Where are you Soul? Did one of the suggestions help? I was having the same problem not long after I got my first one. Had a little chat with Bad. Now I clean them about once a week and haven't had that problem since. Just vaping bliss!!
