What's the Psyche going on in the background of these threads that necessitates their continuance?

That people are opinionated and feel some need to insert their opinion as much as possible?

I own expensive and cheap gear. I have reasons. I hope my high end stuff will be reliable and last a long time without my having to repair them. Its nice to have something that just works.

I also buy cheap things. Sometimes its to see if I like something before saving up for a better one (a clone, or the form factor). Its also because I have a small farm and am hard on some things. I want my nice stuff to stay looking nice. They took me time to save up for them, and I care about their appearance as well as their function. I don't want to drop my nice things off tractors or in parking lots. Or to lose or have them stolen. However, unlike some, I look at the cheap things as being disposable. Seriously, if I drop my istick and Chinese atty and it breaks, fine. I can afford to replace them if I have to. That's why I had them in the first place. I would be upset though if an sx mini and European atty even got scuffed.

I don't see Provaris as overpriced. Its not their limitations on power. I vape some things under 15W and probably always will. I agree that they are well made, and reliable compared to most of the mods coming out these days. Seriously, they cost 2-5 cartons of cigarettes, if you look at that way. Somehow we all managed to come up with cigarette money. I think they are a good investment for those that vape low power and like the tube form factor. If you are going to continue vaping, it pays to have at least one really good mod. It can also pay to have some cheap things that you don't mind beating on if you have an active lifestyle.

Yeah, the haters don't own one. It may not suit them, as it doesn't suit me. But, I don't understand the hate for it ???

I don't understand the hate for some of the cheap things either. They also have their purposes. As beaters, for new vapors who are reluctant to spend money when they don't know if it will work for them. I do understand safety concerns. Yeah, the new isticks aren't what we hoped they would be. The Sigelei boxes seem to be doing quite well though, and they're inexpensive. So are the MVPs. Trust me, I drop them all the time, lol! My nearly 9 month old Sig 100 has been dropped probably 25 times and doesn't even have scratches somehow.

Of course it always lands on the drip tip of the atty :D

Yep, I did insert my opinion, and it was a bit long. No one likes to read anymore I guess. I don't do videos :)
Aww @roxynoodle, I read it. :)

As well as all the other posts in this thread.

:glare: SMH (S=shaking; M=my; H=head)

It has actually been many months since the last Provari vs _______. Why do this now? It was nice and calm (kinda, sorta). What was the point?

The problem with ProVari is they need to step up their game. The vape and materials used on a ProVari are far better then an IPV, iStick or MVP. But compared to a DNA 40 (now that the glitches are fixed) or a YiHi SX350 type mod, they really don't seem to be worth it anymore.

For those of us who never go above 15watts; for those of us who don't cloud chase; for those of us who never get dry hits and don't care about temp. Protection; for those of us who only like tube mods and for those of us who see value in well made, well engineered and well backed things, ProVari are worth every penny... There are many of us...

While you might find value in that, it doesn't take away from the fact that other guys are doing far more then that for the very same price. That's vaping though I guess and this is an industry where people are willing to spend $500 on a metal tube and a button. Its all a perceived value.

But what if you don't go above 20 watts and don't like ugly boxes?

Any yihi tube mods yet? I know there's a few DNA.

I don't see any value in Chinese guitars, my opinion doesn't make them irrelevant
